Canada?

Why is Canada, who is just as free as America I suppose...not ever troubled by terrorism such as 9/11 attacks and so forth? Unless I'm missing something. Is Canada a neutral state, or do they have troops fighting along with American troops overseas?

Canada has troops in Afghanistan. I suppose we don't meddle in other countries affairs as much as the US does. And the US has done some serious bad shit to other countries if it looked like it might come back to help them in anyway ($)

We had one terrorist plot foiled a couple years back in Toronto, but overal it doesn't happen a lot. Canada, being in Afghanistan, is on the Taliban's hitlist, but overal we haven't managed to piss of the muslim world as much, seeing as we're not quite so enthusiastic about policing the world, blowing up civilians, and telling other people how to run their lives.

But, undoubtedly the main reason terrorists don't attack Canada; we're their staging point for attacks on America! Canada has a huge border that can't possibly be patroled at every spot. There's no sense in making the Canadian police and government more vigilant in routing out terrorists. They want us complacent and unshaken, so we'll leave them alone while they set up here before moving into the states.

Just a few to list off the top of my head, We:
-Installed the Shah in Iran
-Supplied weapons to Iraq during the Iraq-Iran war
-Supported Al-Qaeda when they were fighting the Soviets
-Attacked Iraq when our oil was threatened

There are many reasons for people to hate us all over the world, that's the price of being an empire, which is why we shouldn't be.
