hmmm not sure if this is the right spot to post this but i just had a root canal and i want to know if its safe to smoke weed or when it will be.

dentist gave no information about it and i didnt ask (idiot me i know but damn i wanted to get out of there :D) thanks to all that have any info at all, im going to google this

It's best not to smoke if you have an open cavity or have had an extraction ,other than that you shouldn't have a problem.
One thing all people visiting the dentist should know is that cannabis interferes with the novocaine making it less effective.

i wasn't high when i went in so i didn't have a problem with the novocaine but thanks for the replys ill go toke now :jointsmile:

did your RC hurt? mine was a zinch my right upper molar the root is an inch long ,yeah I got big roots! wasnt bad at all really
how much did your dent charge? if ya dont mind me being nosey ~~
mine charged my insurance $1200.00 I had to pay $ 200.00 out of pocket,

Been there, done that! Just don't pull too hard! Make sure your mouth is not going through "cotton mouth". A dry mouth is bad= more bacteria. I had most of my teeth removed several years ago. I toked on the way home, sipping ice water in between hits. As long as your mouth is clean and moist, and you don't pull too hard on the pipe, bong or joint, you should be OK. - Granny:hippy:

Yeah, give it a day or two to heal up if your gums hurt. If your gums don't hurt, then you can smoke right away.
Granny's right, avoid dry mouth like the plague (in general). Biotene is great, but also xylitol gum (you can get it at a natural foods store) like Xylichew is beneficial. Tom's of Maine makes a xylitol toothpaste, too.
And drink water!
