So we got a new hire and I really don't think he is going to work out. He is so damn lazy. He's rather large and it may have to do with his size. But I know he isn't going to make it.

Our store manager has been out for 2 weeks, so since I'm the assistant manager I have been running the store.

I asked him to dust the dinettes and the coffee and end tables. Let me tell you what he done. He sat down to dust the dinettes. Then when he went to do the coffee and end table he sat on a coffee table that has a padded leather top and wheels. He then proceeded to scoot across the show room floor and dust. It was like watching a over grown toddler in a walker. I actually thought he was going to break it because this guy is big. When I mean big I mean 6x big.

He has to make frequent stops to catch his breath when carrying furniture, and can barley fit in the cab of the truck. We get 30 min lunches and he took a 45 min lunch and then brought his food back to the store and ate for another 15 mins. I'm constantly catching him sitting down and getting on the computer at work on yahoo.com. That's the only site we can get on, everything else blocked expect for company emails and things like that.

I give him 2 weeks when our store manager gets back because she is a no bullshit type of manager.

So what kind of things piss you off about your coworkers?

While working at a restaurant, my emotions ran short because only a tenth of all the employees did NOT smoke cigarettes. I understand that some people need a stress reliever, but walking outside to have a cigarette seven times each shift put some weight on my shoulders when I'm serving customers.

I did not trust my assistant manager, he did not have a pleasant way about him. I was friendly as often with everyone when I began working there, however, he had a strong ebonic dialect that I had extreme difficulty understanding. Our communication struggled. I suspected him of food poisoning me the very day he became manager, although I had never mentioned such allegations, it is what he would have wanted. Besides, I was walking out after about 4 months. :)

I've had a lot of hands on work experience, (outdoor maintenance, landscaping, manual labor, carpentry, etc.) I know I am a great worker, but I've had little business job experience simply because I do not like dealing with people. I DID work with people because I believed I needed that experience. I wanted to know and act on the challenges that come with the personal demands of others. I see myself happier not being pressured by those around me. I'm nicer than you can imagine, but I don't know the tolerance of my stress and I'm too afraid to test it.

This new lady started at work, who I had to "train" for the first shift of her working so she knew what the job was about.
Cutting a long story short, we got on REALLY well for a week or two and I thought she seriously liked me by the way she acted with me. I have loads of friends who are girls so I know she wasn't just trying to me my "mate".
I had a few days off, come back into work to find out it was one of the Door canvassers she was after, and didn't like me at all.
ugh err lol.

that's just a fraction of the things I could share, it's like a soap drama in the place I work.

This is a wicked thread idea. Here I go. :D

Where to start, yes, first, this girl named "M" at work is a total bitch. She isn't a bitch on purpose though, it's just her. She does merchandising there, basically nakes the showroom look good and makes price tags. She needs help sometimes moving around couches and stuff, no problem, but she doesn't ask you for help, she tells you. "Go do this and move that over there, then I NEED you to go over there and take that table to the back." No please, no thank you, and NO asking. She isn't our boss she is a co-worker, so talk to us and ASK us for help. I have my own job to do and she is not a first priority.

I had a swamper (delivery guy) quit on me as well. In the middle of the day this guy dissapears, so I had to send one of my warehouse workers on the truck. That left a new employee of mine, on his own, so I was training him and doing my own thing. Then the swamper actually has the nerve to show up the next morning for work! I phoned up my boss, told him the story, he came down, told him to go home, you're FIRED! Now one of the warehouse guys is the new swamper, so now I will be training 2 new people next week, while doing my own job. Sounds like fun.

The oay really isn't that great either, but the job really isn't that stressful. I'm a warehouse supervisor and basically keep track of product coming in and out of the warehouse. It isn't rocket science, but it's work.

I thought I had more to say, I guess not. Trivial little things, but equally annoying. :)

I just started talking to this girl, and I really like her. Some how everyone at work found out and they're always talking shit. I don't understand why they have ME on their minds. I don't know 90% of their names, and yet they're talking shit and stuff to this girl. I fucking have no clue who they are?

Why do people have to start drama at work about a person who doesn't even interact with them? I do my work, leave, and don't want to take my work with me. These people make it impossible to do that.

I hate pretty much everyone from my work. There has to be almost 100 fellow employees, and it reminds me exactly of high school. All anyone does is gossip and spread malicious nonsense about each other all day. Cheers!

we had this dude, must have weighed like 500 pounds, he lasted about 3 days, and got ripped off on his pay too.. Sat around and watched (he was a driver) and wasn't usefull in the loosest usage of the word. First we get to the job, backs the truck into a tree (take in mind he was hired as a driver) then while later he tells me the my Boss sais he could run the skid stear.. so he jumps in the machine and he is too fat to close the door, so he lifts the bucket up and tears the door off the hinges.. after a while he gets the door back on, and does the SAME SHIT AGAIN!! this time he rips the door off while trying to remove the bucket and puts the forks on.. so the door crashes to the ground and the window is shattered by the bucket lol.. then we go to lunch and we are coming to a red light (remember, he was hired as a driver) he saces otu and sees the red light at last minute, hits the brakes, and the pallets of brick in back of the truck all come crashing down, cracked a lot of bricks and now we basically have to manually unload em, thousands of pounds of bricks by hand YAY! Then after lunch I hop in the truck and glance at the No Parkign at any time sign wse are parked in front of.. yeh, he didn't last long at all...

I agree with straightillin and day dreamer man.
First of all if theres something between you two, other people should not stick their noses in your business if romance happens then don't say a fucking word about it and talk shit.. t hats the worst. It happened to me once, it would get so annoying, like everytime i had a conversation with someone it would always end up about the romance thing that happened. I was okay with it at first but they just keep going and going, like an brokken record player.

Second I hate my two faced boss as well . There are too many reasons. He says things just to be boss. He told me not to pick at the food because i'm not allowed and a couple of days later, i fully see him pick at the exact same food i was picking at and got in trouble for. He'll always try to make sure we've taken care of customers and that we service them at the fastest pace possible, meanwhile he'll slow it down by talking to the line cooks who are supposed to be getting the food ready for us so we can get the food out. Fucking guy had the nerve to ask for forgiveness the day i left AND insisted we hug each other for the last time... I'm so glad I quit. Dumb bosses are the worst.

There was also this new guy he was big tall white dude. Kind of scary looking whenver he spoke it was high pitched and slow, NOT what you expect from such a large man. People would joke to him about how he would not be doing his job properly and then he'd be like "I have to get it right or else I'm going to get fired." or "If I don't do it right I'm going to get fired". There was this one time where he accidentally missed something and someone had confronted him about it and he went off!! saying that how world war 2 was his fault and the titanic sinking was his fault and the two towers falling down was his doing somehow. He blamed himself for all these things that happened man he was a weird guy!

I don't like the nurses who work the unit across the hall from us... I get pulled over there once in a while if our census is low, and I don't mean to use generalizations, but every single one of the nurses (on a VERY easy non med-surg unit) bitch and moan when they have 2 or 3 patients. All they have to do is deliver pain meds, and check for contractions, the rest of the time they sit and talk about who they're cheating on their husbands with this week.

They have the nerve to call me over from my BUSY side to ask if I can do the vital signs on THEIR patients while they sit there. Not even charting, and they don't even put orders in the computer. When they get pulled over to our side, and they're assigned mild med-surg patients, like appendectomy or a lap assisted hysterectomy, they go absolutely nuts! "Oh my god, I can't handle all of this charting!" (We do our own charting and orders). They act like they've been given a double amputee with severe chest pains and a PE...

Its now official I now despise my District Manager with every bone in my body. He is so fake and 2 faced. The whole time I was running the store, when my store manager was gone, he was telling what a great job I was doing and just filling my head with bullshit. When my manager gets back he turns around and tells her that he doesn't think that I'm suitable for the Assist managers job.

HE then proceeds to say that the guy I was ranting about in the beginning of this thread is the best employee that we have. WTF is wrong with this guy. We now have to be at work at 8 am to rearrange the back room. Which is way to damn early so now I get to do another 13 to 14 hour day because of this jack ass.

He feeds off the power that he has and the more he can control and manipulate people the bigger his ego is. I cant stand this guy and I really want to get fired. I'm contemplating cussing him out just so I can get fired. I'm not going to quit though you cant get unemployment if you quit.

One of my bosses in a jerk. I was working back in recieving for about 2months (I don't work recieving but one of the guys quit and I had to help out...but its not my job) so anyways we are getting a shitton of stuff in for christmas shopping and whatnot, we have like 15 pallets of shit i have to unload and price and put away...anyways my boss is sitting up in his office looking at us on the cameras. Rather than help us out, or hire a new recieving person he just sits up there and watchs us get more and more behind....lazy bastard

I live alone. I work alone. I'm a social creature. It's isolating. It just depresses me in general not to have a co-worker to squirt water at out of the squeezy bottles at the lab and look at homestarrunner when we are on our lunch break.

i never really liked most of the people i worked with. then i left for awhile and then came back, and for some reason their feelings towards me had changed, mine toward them had not. it is mainly all these annoying little rich highschool girls or people who are in their mid forties and just failed to ever set goals in their life, so it is hard to respect any of them, and hard to like them. after being there awhile i can get along with pretty much everyone there, some i find really annoying but still want to think im their good friends, some i still cant stand. god the shit that goes on there. nothing really, but enough to make you glad the time has come every day when you go home. it is ok during the day there are some younger people to get along with.

here is the real rant. there is this middle aged man who i talked to in casual conversation at work for awhile. we both got high(never together, never see him outside of work) and i was the only young person hed met that had any familiarity with the music he listened to growing up. so it was funny to talk to him for awhile, but then it became increasingly obvious how pathetic and weird he was. he would talk to me way too much and had this weird habit of standing uncomfortably close. then he always wanted to start bringing me cds and shit to work. mind you none of this was gay, not to say i liked any of it, but it didnt deal with the fact he couldnt get any girls, it dealt with the fact that he had no friends. i felt sory for him at first, but the more time i hear him talk the less i feel sorry for him and the more im disgusted. he can be funny sometimes, but really it is just a downer being around him because he is one of the most pathetic individuals i have ever encountered. so make sure you set some sort of goals in life.

Ive had numerous jobs with shitty co-workers, and I finally started my own home buisness. My only problem now is myself (laziness). Instead of letting co-workers ruin your day, RUIN THERE DAY, AND ENJOY DOING IT! here is a couple ideas:
-Don't flush the toilet (then tell one of your co-workers that another co-worker did it)
-steal (lunches, important paperwork, staplers, mail, memo's, keys, etc.)
-or you can hide things (like the above items)
-fuck up the computer/copier/fax machine
-start rumors (so and so that no longer works there told you that so and so is stealing from the company, etc.-BE CREATIVE
-use your cell phone (*67) to repeatedly call the main office line then hang up
-fart (literally) around people you dislike (maybe even customers)
-place empty bottles of liquor in the trash can of your least favorite co-worker, (then tell your boss what you saw in the garbage, and explain that your concerned about your co-workers well being)
