I envy all those who have there internet through cable or dsl, The net becomes very limited and boreing running at 3kb a sec, pictures take about 10 minutes to load and Forget about watching any videos...
So dont forget how fortunite you high speed users are.

I kinda know what you mean. I have sattilite internet. It loads vids okay and pics but when it comes to downloading a file, its complete shit.
It will go like 8 to 10 kb/s and my internet with flick on and off which will cancel my download.

I was just trying to download some pic's on here. And yes we are the unfortunate one's with the dial up. It said I had to contact the administrator because my edit had taken more than ten mins. But i guess i will trade the DSL. For clean mountain living, a medical card. and just living the good life with the Wife and the Bears and the cyotes.:stoned:

I used to have dial-up. We switched to cable broadband though about 3 or 4 years ago, so i know what dial-up is like. It sucks. But hey, its better than no internet at all right?

I remeber dial up. Man it sucked. It would take so long to load a page, and youtube was out of the question. That would take like a half hour to load a 2 minute video. :p

Me and my Opa were talking about this the other day. He remebers in like 1990, when the internet was first around, that to send an e-mail to the US, would cost a bloody fortune just because of the slow dial up connection and the long distance fees you had to pay. :p

Good times. I remeber that too, but now it is so fast. I click to go on a page, and within 10 seconds it's up. Cable is sweeeeet. :D

I look at it as one of the consequences of wanting to live in the sticks. Get an internet accelerator. It helps.

yea i know the horrible feeling. I am at college with about a 300kb/s cap download speed then i go home over the summer or weekend even and get around 4kb/s. The extremes kill me and getting used to a slow ass connections after a super fast one sucks. its like i cant get anything done.

I don't like iPods... I have a pre-historic Creative Nomad the size of a small frying pan. It hold 10GB which is all the technology I want in my car alongside the cassette player. iPod and 8 track was just for comparison sake.
