I've been holding on to some seeds that I acquired from a very good & trustworthy friend. On the envelope that the seeds are in, there's the label "Killer AK". Has anyone ever heard of an AK47/48-? hybrid/cross with this nickname before? Just curious as to what the mix might be...

Dont remember a hybrid like that. It could just mean that those AK genetics will produce killer buds. :D

That's just a name retarded dealers use for (usually) Northern Lights or AK-47 crosses in my background. Anything that sounds like that is labeled "AK" even thought it was probably grown in Southern California :wtf:
I think it's stupid because I'm from Alaska so I know damn well the weed I'm getting in Arizona isn't no "AK" because there sure as hell isn't enough weed in Alaska right now for them to be exporting all over the place so no it's not AK, it's just a strain of pot like any other.
Sorry for the rant, Killer AK could very well be a recognized AK-47 hybrid or something, but I highly doubt it.

I think it may have been Nirvana, (cant remeber, for sure), but it was one of those cheap seedbanks that copies other strains, and re-names it ... anyway, his AK-48 was just AK-47 re-labeled ... another example of questionable marketing ... :smokin:

Thanks for the ideas everyone. I'll accept that it's probably just some unstable mutant AK variation...but I've had good experiences with AK-47 hybrids in the past, so I'll just hope for the best, but prepare for the worst!

The " AK" doesn't refer to the abreviation for Alaska- It's from " Avtomat Kalashnikova", the original source of the " Avtomat Kalashnikova obraztsa 1947 goda", or AK-47. ( Also called by aficianados the "Kalishnikov rifle"- really, it's the only choice if you want an assault rifle that's going to work. AK's ( the gun) are incredibly tolerant of abuse, environment, variation in ammo specs- AK's ( the plant) are incredibly tolerant of abuse, environment, variation in fertilizer specs...)
Originally bred out by ol' Neville at the Castle, cross of Skunk and Russian land-race genetics.
The AK rifle like the AK plant is compact, indestructible, and powerful-
" One hit and you're down".:stoned:
Always thought that it was one of the most accurate strain names out there.:D

Nirvana's "AK-48" Has absolutely nothing in common with "AK-47"....Completely different genetics...
