Just a few minutes ago i was looking at my baby girl and shes been flowering for about two weeks now and i did the worst thing in the world to her
the tie-down that was around the top of the stem pulled at her when i was trying to move risers underneath her
the bottom of the main stem broke!!!!!!

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you killed it. If it broke at the bottom half way through, its likely you severed the pathways for the nutrients from the roots and I don't think its reparable. Even if it was, I don't think duct tape would be the bandage of choice. I'd take the tape off and use maybe like a wet paper towel or something to hold it. If its too heavy to hold by itself, maybe try using some kind of splint held on the top and bottom with twist ties. You should use something wet I would think.

I could be wrong (and probably am). Hope someone can provide a more informed answer.

I bet it will heal. leave it bent over and continue to care for it.

Thankyou for all of the replies...
i went out and bought another light for it
the same one that i had before

see it clearly went into shock at first but after about another 15 minutes it was back reaching for the light
that seemed like a good sign.
Wish her luck!!!

Yeah man that sounds good. You definitely don't want the wound drying out. Glad to hear its looking up!

Ok i hope people still look at this...

How long do you think it will take to heal all the way???
im afraid of it breaking more when the buds get larger
the buds havent stopped growing since the accident
they're getting really big :)))
but the break is definitely not healed...

Also, i was reading more today and i found this...

"Some growers go so far as to actually break the main stem, not all the way off but enough to reduce fluid flow and structural strength. This purportedly increases the need and use of the resin to reduce dehydration. This author has not employed this method."

Now i know that resin doesn't exactly mean potency but it does mean cool looking buds...

Does anyone think this is legit?

cannabis can take a beating and comes back - just this season I had a problem with corn borers in my garden- had 5 plants chewed almost completely into from the inside out- all were flat on the ground- only the skin of the stalk remained- I put some stakes in the ground next to plants- raised gently- tied to stakes and taped wounded area wuth painters tape- made of paper- I have done this before this year also- the plants were stressed and did not produce as much as non borer plants but they survived 10 weeks after injury until harvest which was 2 days ago -I think you will be fine
