My mom used to make the most fantastic crab gumbo I ever had in life .. filled with shrimp and chicken too .. it was the shizznit! (was always looking for an opportunity to use that word)

My mother is, was, and will always be, a horrendous cook. (shudders) I was always relieved when we would visit my grandmother because her cooking was absolutely divine. Her best meal was always herb roasted Cornish game hens with sage dressing, braised asparagus, sour cream and chive mashed potatoes, corn on the cob, and fresh homemade sourdough rolls. Great... now I'm drooling. I need to steal that lady's cook book.

My mamma makes the best lasagna/pasta, pizza, and chicken biryani..pretty much everything she makes is delicious. I can't wait for her thanksgiving feast, everybody always wants more of her homemade stuffing with pancenta, sausage and mushrooms.

My mom used to make supreme homemade peppered steak :thumbsup:, but grandma used to really do it with homemade dinner rolls, biscuits, cakes and homemade peach cobbler, amongst a million other selections. I dont think there was anything my g-ma couldnt cook with excellence.:thumbsup:

best meal my mom makes for me is veal cutlets with some macaroni and cheese with peas poured on top of the mac and cheese. with some ketchup over the cutlets..
