View Full Version : 400 Watt HPS 1sqm but how many plants?

how many plants could i get in 1sq meter under a 400 watt HPS i was thinking about 12 ?

what size pots would be best if i was going to veg for just 2 weeks and flower for 8 weeks ?

and Ive got a problem with watering i cant seem to find a consistent number anywere ! ill be growing in COCO with the HESI brand of products using the SOG technique ?

any tips advice and help with be much appreciated

6 female plants is about max.....in flowering. And that is very, very cramped under one 400HPS light.

6 inch pots for veg.
10 inch pots for flower.

...but then again..you can go smaller with Coco Coir...if you know what you are doing....:thumbsup:

Damn, Dude - Nice grow in those tiny cups!

Wheatie: Coco is actually considered a hydroponic medium, so you use hydroponic values and techniques, which you can easily research in the hydro section.

Right now I have a scrog going in coco with some of the plants in #3 pots and some in #5 pots and there isn't any noticeable difference in the growth. But with the coco, you water at least once per day and always flood the pots to the point of run off.
