Made mine out of one of those sports-bar margarita cups/glasses.
Used a metal piece from the oil(cooking) bottle and a clutch housing from an r/c car for the slide and bowl. It rocks cause the whole middle part can be filled with crushed ice :D

well here it is... test run says it works, makes the right sound and everything seems to be in working order... now i just need some dank to put in it :]

I used a dremel tool to drill a hole through the glass and made it big enough i could put a straw thru it. then i fitted a metal piece from an air compressor unit into one end of the straw and fed the straw thru the hole into the bottom of the vase. i also applied some plumbers tape around the tip of the straw where it touches the hole in the glass to ensure a good air tight seal.wish me luck guys, lets hope it works. ill post pics from the first smoke with it.

imo that bowl looks too horizontally slanted, might make your weed fall out if your not careful.

Heres my girlie violet. (i always try to name my pieces something female, just seems more approriate to me...since you know i put my mouth on it and stuff >.>).

edit: cant really tell in the pics due to my flash, but those darker areas between the swirls are a reallly deep rich color of violet, hence the name.

bong: I'm not sure if it deserves a name. i basically made it out of boredom. and because i saw the garden hose nozzle that i ended up using as the bowl and it inspired me.

Alot of heady peices are turning out to be very simlar, their like fingerrints everyones gottem but their all just a little different. I went to the bong shop the other day and this guy said youll never find a bong like that, and when I looked at it it looked like every other big bubble glass bong. What made it realy bad was when he called it glass on glass and their was a rubber stopper on it. WTF its glass on rubber then not glasss on glass. I got pissed and got some $1 blunt wrapes and took off.

None of the marbles that are on the piece are pre-made. The piece in it's entirety was blown by Brent Thackery. well all the peices are realy nice much better than what I could blow, but I dont blow heady peices.........but still I see so many peices that arnt identical but still have the same look, they put some marbbles then blow a bubble into em, They put a decorative peice and them work it. I realy like the heady peicese that are uniform lins are lines and pictures are pictures. You can buy wig wags, pot leaves, just about anything and then work it into your peice, but I rarley see peices desiened around the design. I just think all these heady peices are starting to look very very simulare, for being one of a kind

It does, but in this case, the bigger isn't better. It's too big to fit nicely in a cabinet, so it's usually out for all to see (don't like that so much). Also, me and my girl usually don't have enough hours in the day to sit and smoke, so I'll take a rip in my living room, then carry the bong out to the kitchen for her to take one. It would be such an easier process with a nice 12" or 18". Man I miss my Blue Dot...

Thanks. Nothing broke, they are just made a little different. The left one has a 2 piece molded stem and the right one has a one piece slide in. They are both air tight and are used daily. I just wish I had something decent to put through them. :(

Wow Tex, that antique pipe is the nicest piece I've ever seen posted on this site hands down. The brasswork is beautiful. Before I enlarged the pic I thought it was made of a walrus tusk. Now I have no idea! Is it some type of ivory? Wow. Just... WOW.

First one is named candy, it's the first pipe ive ever bought, got it 6 years ago, and i dont intend on ever breaking it.
Second one i just got two weeks ago from my friend for $20. It's color changing and i love it to death, sometimes i just get stoned and stare at it. It's named the joker because it looks like a joker's hat. Ive considered renaming it Maurice, or The Midnight Toker, in reference to the Steve Miller song.

I think any tusk is technically ivory, it's just a distinction between 'elephant ivory' 'walrus ivory' or um 'unicorn ivory' haha. I think wild boar tusks count as ivory as well, although I'm not certain.

My first bowl i ever bought just broke! It was a blue spoon style pipe with a mouthpiece that slanted upward instead of straight. So I had to go buy a new piece today.....and its very similar in style except its like a transparent yellowish-green color. Im kinda rambling too cause I just got done breakin her in!
