Light cycle inconsistency

Hey guys,

working on my 3 rd grow and this one has been the most unique of them all and I cant even explain all the details. But to make it simple i want to talk about cannabis light cycle

I just switched to flowering stage 12/12. But because im in a location that i cant buy a timer it makes it difficult. ive been straight one week 12 / 12.

for 2 days i had no choice but to give them 10 hours light 12 hours dark. Ok i dont think its a big deal.

but today I had no choice because i feel with my ultra ultra need to have stealth. I will keep the light on from 12 mid to 12 in the after noon. these hours less becasue are going through my hosue. So i gave the kids 6 hours light 9 hours dark and then at 12 midnight will start there consistent cycle again.

phhh what to say about that!!!! im blushing guys be easy on me. what adverse affects beside slowing the process to go into flowering. im talking about major stunting.

well i dont understand the part you said "10/12" that only equals 22 and theres 24 hours in a day...? maybe im just tooo toooo tooooo high... but inconsistency of your light cycle will stress the plant(s) out and cause damage... You can try ebay for a timer, its affordable man, its worth your last change, almost!

hmmmm yeah I knew this would be a typical answer.

I did say 10/12 because that was my "1 artificial day". I was forced to start another light cycle after the 12 hours of dark. You understand?


I am in another country right now so i dont have access to buy a timer. yes ebay is a good idea but ill get charged out the but with shipping international plus the plugs wont even match up!!!!

Im hoping that this will not be so traumatic to the kids. I hope im just over analyzing.

Amazing guys your high out of you mind. Im in another country where i cant find any cannabis...dont have the money if i did. and im relying on an ultra small grow opt to make havest an 1/8 if im lucky.ahhhhh blaze one for me and dont take it for granted that you have it friends!!!!!!!

well, with that said .....i understand your artificial day and i dont :thumbsup:

Since you don't want to go broke for a timer i understand, but if your gonna do it manually then at least set an alarm clock or something effective... :hippy:

And sorry to say but your not "Over Analyzing", a messed up light cycle can effect your plants... So try to be more on point....

Oh and I'm high as hell as we speak and the only people who take weed for granted here is the Gov!! :wtf:

Thanks man for the info. Im still going to hunt around to find a timer. I need one so bad but i cant seem to find one in this country that im in!More or less the location I am in , in this country is bad, and i dont have a car here. Anyways, from the start this mini grow opt has just been weird. Everything about it! thanks again guys.

ohhh and i dont think the gov takes it for granted they just are afraid of it and dont want anything to do with it! blaze one for me man!

i set my mobile to wake me at 6am to manually turn lights on

i do it manually as i have to open the wardrobe doors otherwise my plants would fry

Ummm....different light hours here and there.....yeah.....that's a big deal. :( And not be mean...but before you come up with all these reasons for changing things....make sure your PLANTS understand the way you are thinking because nature is telling them something else. Dude....you gotta THINK like a plant. :D

Even 10 minutes off here and there can cause stress/hermie issues. (for you jchap ;))
Nature just doesn't work that way. (hmmm....i'm tired....think I'll shut the sun down a few minutes early....:eek:)

Dont worry your not being mean at all. I study biology and am familiar with the adverese effects of suddenly changing an enviroment of a plant. I was simply searching for experiences and opinions of other Cannabis growers that have experienced or experimented with "funky" light cycles. Like I said guys this grow has been so unique and crazy for me!In a bad connotation. I hope that my experience with this grow can help you guys. I have everything documented from day one.haha i would rather understand the "thinking/mechanics" of a plant not think like one!!! ;)

Because I am so excited about it and we were discussing it, I must say I got my hands on a 24 hour timer today. Whoaa I know I know that sounds so strange to celebrate this. Such a simple neccesity of a grow, right? You can see how bad my situation is! All I say is God bless the u.s.a ill be back soon.
