These past couple of months I've been smoking alot. I use to just smoke couple times a month but now its everyday and several times a day. Anyways since I could remember I always heard this person talking in my mind, he was like a God or something who told me what to do. I'm not like an insane person though, I'm just the average guy just better looking, haha j/k, anyways lately I hear him alot more often. He keeps telling me to do shit and now I think I'm starting to see him walking around. Like earlier today I was buying food for my munchies and after I left the store (it was like in the middle of the night so no one was around) I saw this person standing across the street looking at me, I quickly looked away and looked back but then he was gone. And suddenly I hear him in my mind and what he said hi. It's been freaking me out a shit load. I always try to ignore him but like he just keeps coming. It happens when I'm sober and high so it's not like it's because of weed. I also never had a psychiatrist so I'm not sure if I have a mental illness or something. What do you guys think is wrong with me?

Growing up in a family a 5 psychiatrists one who works for NIH I think it is definitely time to see someone. Hearing voices can be a major psychological problem in itself but when the voice is telling you to do things that is when it is imperative that you seek the help of a professional. Without help this can become a worse problem effecting all aspects of your life as it becomes worse, and if it indeed turns out to be a mental problem it is one that can be treated through medication and therapy much more effectively when evaluated and diagnosed by a professional much more effectively. If you need someone to talk to let me know.

Cut back on that weed man, it can aggrivate symptoms of schizophrenia and make it come out full-on. Haven't you asked a doc about this? Sounds like something pretty important to discuss.

Sounds like schizophrenia. I would suggest you see a psychiatrist.

You definately need a shrink, and ASAP.

I don't know you and this isn't a put down, but you need to go to a shrink immediately.

The problem is he might tell you to do something stupid, and you might listen. It might start off small like give a quarter to that bum over there, then it may escalate to jump off the roof.

Don't fuck around. Go to a shrink immediately.

She sees and talks to "god" and he tells her to do ridiculious things...

Things like that....

shes harmless but still...

Yea man sounds like you have some kind of skitzofrenia goin on man...

Thats no fun...

Do you enjoy him?

Oh

and when the judge asks "Did he touch you?" dont worry its ok to answer truthfully.

He doesn't really tell me to DO things. More like advice. It's usually a good advice also. I don't think I will see a doctor. I've had it all my life and through high school I have never gotten in trouble or done anything bad.

I have scizophrenia and bipolar and I used to hear vauge conversations in my head. Its actually when I started to become obsessed with columbine. i started to hear them talk to me. But just regular conversations. They neevr made me do anything. It was like there was always a conversation in my head.

But now im on meds and im fine.

Not sure how old you are, but I can tell you, it will probably get worse as you get older, and may become dangerous. I realize there's a stigma attached to seeking psychiatric help, but let me assure you...I have worked as a medical secretary in a psychological office before, and NO ONE would treat you like there's anything wrong, you're just a "patient", nothing more, nothing less. They see criminals, pedophiles, etc., the worst of society for evaluations for court...trust me, what you describe is very common. If you're 18 or older, no one has to know, except those who you choose to tell.

Good luck to you! :)

Who knows, it could be a nice ghost friend.
Im more inclined to think schitzophrenia, but keep an open mind ppl.
I would at least try and talk to him properly.

Ask him his purpose. If it sounds like something your head would make up, you know he's unreal.

Im just rambbling about things...
I have no answer sorry.

Sounds exactly like my mother in law. She is scizophrenic. She went on meds about four years ago, and is a completely different person now.

Poor lady heard so many voices sometimes, she would scream at the top of her lungs just to drown them out. Meds helped her out completely, thanks to the diagnosis of the doctors in her area. I think that sounds like a road you should explore.

Sounds like you have access to your Higher Self, since it gives you good advice. The fact that you actually saw a hallucination is a little worrisome, but once you start developing delusions then you need to see a psychiatrist.

Okay, well, since you are young (right?) and it happens both stoned and sober, it sounds like a symptom of schizophrenia.

Of course, most psychiatrists will want to medicate you right away, but I think if I were you I would try to see a holistic doctor that specializes in mental illness. You will probably need to shop around to find one that is not a complete quack.

But if you don't want to be put on gobs of psychiatric meds, it's probably your only answer.

I would definitely seek professional help though. Hallucinations or vision or whatever aren't normal and especially if you feel like you can't control them, you should strongly consider seeking medical advice.

Your visions may continue to be friendly, which is awesome, but you should have a safety net in place just in case they don't.
