hey, i picked up a bunch of weed last night and i was wondering if theres anything to do so i can keep it fresh as possible bc i cant smoke that much during the week. i've heard orange peels in the ziplock bag might work?

I had some real good ground up weed and I stuck it in a zip lock baggy and then wrapped it in tin foil and stuck it in the freezer and forgot about it. I found it a year later and it smoked just like when I first brought it. If you don't want to freeze it, I have heard that putting lettuce in the baggy will work (never tried it so its not guaranteed).

Find an old pill bottle. Make sure to take the label off though!

Why would you want to keep it moist? You don't get the most active THC out of your weed until it's fully dried. I use tupperware or mason jars, and just keep it in a cool/dark place. Back when I first started smoking I thought that weed was better when I kept it moist or humidified, but I realized all that I was doing was making it harder to break up, harder to smoke, and more harsh. Nothin gets you ripped like bone dry nugs.

After I harvest my bud, I let it dry out in a cool dark place for a week. Then I put it in zipper-lock baggies, one ounce each and while rolling the bag closed, with the zipper a little bit open, squeeze ALL the air out (air and heat degrades weed faster than anything) and compact the weed, then I zip it shut and roll it up and tape it closed and put it in the freezer until the day I need it. Best would be a vacuum bagger for your long-term supply which you keep in the freezer.
