Military Entry Proccessing

I have a military physical in two days. I am trying to join the army.

I was a heavy user for ten years and will have been clean for 47 days at the time of the physical. I have been exercising and drinking water.

I have a body fat percentage of 18% and have a pretty good muscle to fat ratio. I was wondering if I should be good to go for the physical or if I should put it off for another month or so if i can.

The military recommends not using for 45 days before the physical but I ws a heavy user and am afraid that the THC is still in my system. I don't want to fail this test because then my chances for the army are out the window...

if you have been clean for 47 days and you fail and cant join the services, i would consider it a sign of god and not join..

if you pass and join, i know I don't know you but be safe. and god bless :Tomcat:

they should test you at the recruiting office before you go to meps to make sure, my recruiter said that they get bitched at if they bring in a dirty recruit.but anyway it sounds like you should be alright though id wait to here from fakeboobsrule

not sure abut now adays but when i joined i was dirty. the recruiter called me one day and told me i had to go back for my drug test because they "lost custody of the specimen". basicaly i failed but they wanted me to join and just retested.
it will come down to wether or not the recruiting station is making there quota. if they aint makin it or havent made it in a while the comand will pull strings to get you in. my dad was a recruiter for several years and i seen them put guys in who couldnt even spell their own name. and this wasnt even a time of war.right now with the iraq situaion and iran looming their recruitment rates are down. they have even raised the re-up age to 42. when i got out it was 35 and if you were out more than 4 years you lost 1 grade of rank for every year after that you stayed out. also now your time decreases your enlistment age i.e. if you are 40 spent 4 years in and wanted to re-up you would be counted as 36. and now you wont lose rank.
have you decided on an m.o.s.(thats your job)? i was a 19k,m1-a1 armour crewman. i loved bein combat arms but my advice would be pick a job that will give you real world skills. unless you plan on bein a lifer. aint to any tanks in the civilian world.

Yeah, like Olde English was saying I have heard of the recruiter giving an off the record test so to speak before the real test. If this is something you really want, get a home test and test your first void of the day.

I have an MOS picked out and it will be one that gives me real world skills. I have also been told that they would possibly pull strings if it was dirty. My lil sister has a friend who had to take it three times. SO heres to hoping.



Also I did order some home tests and will have them tomorrow (wed) so i am going to use one and see what happens but that is only one day before the actual test.

one other thing id like to say is that with the exception of basic trainig i never quit puffin. in germany you cant find bud but hash is every where. then i came back to the states and kept right on. get to be buddies with your drug and alchohol nco and he will tip you as to wen the piss test is goin to be. then usually the day before the first seargent will come out and say anybody with a ssn that ends with the number _ (what ever number he fancys that day) report for urinalysis tommorrow morning. so you got a 1 in 10 chance of having to take your piss test then they only test a certain percentage any way.

your recruiters are there to help you get in....tell them that you afraid of pissing hot and ask them to test you...they'll do everything in their power to get you through meps.

Alright mate i know for a fact that theyll test you about 3 days after your in your basic training base. Well 3-5 days. I used this stuff a pill really and some water the day before meps, smoked hella days weeks and years before the test. Took the piss test and passed went through BT and made it to tech school was doing some field training and fucked up my legs so i got med disharge. And sick ass pay.

I don't know if i should of started a new thread....but i am going into the air force and am supposed to schedule a UA at meps.

Heres the problem, I work at a "shipping company" and my supervisor noticed a stanky package. So to cut things short i jacked the buds rather then let him turn it in. It was a half oskee of some sour diesel from the club. I couldnt turn it down so i blazed it again.. now im stuck with a "Completely Clean 7 day cleansing program" that i bought at a local head shop.

did i get screwed with the permanent cleanser?
and will i be ok if i schedule the UA 30 days from now?

im 5'6 165, and ive been running and water flushing.

any input would be appreciated!:stoned:

What are your smoking and excersize habits, 30 days is typical to get clean for a chronic smoker with some being dirty up to 60 days. You could follow the dilution method to be on the safe side as well as getting home tests to see if you're in the clear.

i run a mile and a half everyday, dieting, drinking a lot of water, and my job is pretty demanding. I would say i;m pretty active.

i hope the pills work...they make me piss a lot without the water.

allow me to ease your mind:

someone posted above that they 'lost his specimen' at MEPs...lol...here's my experience.

the night before you swear in/ get processed in they take you down to the lovely hotel room before picking you up at five am the next morning. on the drive down the night before with the recruiter, he told me (for the FIRST TIME, might i add...) that they were going to piss test me not only to see if i was pregnant, but for drugs. i about shit a brick. i had smoked 2 days before, and i am a CHRONIC smoker. i didn't know why they didnt warn me. i started to panic, and he did too (lol..recruiters) and he gave me all this advice about drinking water all night long and the next morning until my piss was clear.
to make a long story short, i didn't do it. well, i tried to drink a red bull the next morning but that wouldn't have done shit...we all know that. sure enough i was piss tested, and how strange...later on that day they allowed me to process in, and get sworn in. how ironic! there is NO way in fucking HELL a chronic smoker would pass in two days with no warning. Even if i am 5'0, 110 lbs. but this was for the Navy. i had been told about i would never be able to try to join any branch again if i popped. hmmm...

now the airforce, i have a feeling, might be a little more rough on you, but i've known SEVERAL incidents where my friends who just smoked pot, were allowed to swear in at MEPS. Its a known fact that right now, the military isn't exactly too picky with their choices, and have been known to let a few people 'slide' in.

thats just my experience. i got out of navy DEP. i'd rather be happy, broke, toking, and FREE than in the military. but good luck to you! :hippy::stoned:

you probably swore in before they got your results! i just went to meps yesterday and the day before i went i had a piss test in my recruiters office. i had passed it after being sober for only 14 days. just ask your recruiter they dont really care! just tell them when you smoked and say you are pretty positive your clean but you dont want to have it come back on him that he brought a dirty recruit to meps. he will like that! lol but yea i think you should be fine i bought a detox drink just for back up prepare for a long and boring day! ~usmc recruit~ good job in joining tho! by the way i finally got to smmoke yesterday and i was so high! wow:rastasmoke:
