My girlfriend keeps telling me I suffer from OCD, I have a couple of "ticks" that she has noticed and according to her I am a classic case.
I can't stand creased money , it has to be smoothed out and any folded corners must be unfolded and flattened.
I have a thing about clothing tags too , if I see them sticking out of peoples collars and stuff I get an almost overwhelming urge to tuck them in. Luckily I can fight this if the person is a stranger but my friends are constant victims of my obsession. :D
What are your ,or your friends signs of OCD ?
I am sure we all have them to some degree  :D

You're probably border-line OCD psychocat. I had weired things like that too when I was a teenager, but thankfully they went away. When I was in any room doors HAD to be shut 100%, and it especially bothered me if they were just against the doorcill without clicking shut. One time my friends tied me to a chair, made me face the door, and left it 1cm short of clicking shut just to torment me. Ahhhh good times.

I used to do this thing with my tongue where I would move it in pattern in my mouth. It was always 4 hits against my mouth, two top, two bottom, and then I would reverse it trying to make it even but then the pattern would just get bigger and bigger like a backwards fractal until my brain simply couldn't process that many numbers at once. At least I feel like I have a fairly clear idea of what my brain is capable of handling.

Here is a picture of my pattern. The first one is the pattern and the second is the order of the hits in my mouth. This is kind of hard to explain, but here are my diagrams: This random lines are so that they stay separated when I post. The second set of numbers is what I would do after the first one.

_ _ | 1 4 | 4 1
- - | 32 | 23

It would get really complex really quick. Hope that made sense; things like this are hard to explain to someone who doesn't already understand. I would do this with other items and actions as well though.

I tap my feet to that rhythm nonstop. I touch items on shelves at Wal-Mart in that pattern. It isn't too disruptive. Thankfully I can control it when I'm driving because there are so many other things for me to look at. Whenever I suppress the desire to make this pattern with things, I shiver uncontrollably for about 3 seconds and make a weird face because my muscles freak out. Not good for in bed...

If anyone understood this, please tell me. :) ;)

Mohksha I believe that we sometimes find comfort in repetition and perhaps we learn these "ticks" but I suppose it could be seen as an affliction.
I have a few "rituals" , like checking all my pockets before I leave the house and making sure the zips on my bike jacket are closed. :D

Like the old song says "People Are Strange".

yeah in the old days people thought those that suffered from ocd were possessed by demons. I've had it since I was a kid and it's never gone away just changed. I used to have to check under my bed and in the closet and say goodnight to my family repeatedly. I would turn lights on and off a certain amount of times before leaving a room. Then I started washing my hands excessively and worrying about disease and germs and shit. I had to open public restroom doors by using part of my shirt to cover myhands, eventually i thought i need to try to stop this maddening behavoir that makes no sense. But you just don't feel right unless you act out on your obsessions. Eventually as I got older and smoked lots of weed most of it has gone away but once in awhile i still find myself having repetitious thoughts and behavoir. Maybe one day ill try some meds but i doubt it will cure it.

I've been crazy all my life.

Cool. Everyone else I had ever told had never heard of it. Did you do the exact same pattern? If so that would be interesting.

my old ladys got that OCD except her thing is cleaning. Forver spraying air freshener, vacuuming, fluffing pillows, washing any and every dirty dish when it hits the sink, and wiping counters all day even if they are clean. This is the shit I gotta live with..:wtf::jointsmile::jointsmile::jointsmile:

You just reminded me that I can't handle crooked pictures or mirrors, they must be level. I am with you on the left mirroring the right too.
Everything in the fridge has a place.
Even my boots have to be laced a certain way and when the laces are pulled tight the two strands must be the same length.

OMG I am OCD ,:wtf:, oh bugger :D

I work in a restaurant as a cook...the grill has to be clean if there's not food on it...I can't stand to put new food on a grill that has crap on it...my spatula has to be scraped off if it has anything on it..the food has to be arranged rather neat on the plates, if it's not I make it..I do a lot of things the same way, so that it's the same every time and I never have to worry about it...it really trips me out sometimes, but thank god pot helps me refrain from doing a lot of things I would otherwise do due to it..

When I was a little lad I used to always feel my heart before I went to sleep to make sure it was still ticking. Id get all worried it was slowing to a stop when I was really holding my breath cuase I was nervous and it would slow then freaking me out. My parents got pissed after night after night of running down stairs telling them I was dieing lol. Now ive moved on to much simpler tasks of freak organization.
