Quite a few neo-feminists think that pornography is degrading to women by default. I totally disagree and think that pornography can be a celebration of female sexuality and actually help to break down the many hang-ups that women have about their bodies that are programmed into them by western society.

What is degrading is mainstream porn. The hairless, fake breasted, slim, teenage white girl being fucked, often in the ass, usually without proper lube and pretending to enjoy it then either sucking the guy off with facial at the end or faking orgasm. I find that totally unsexual and I think that it actually has quite a serious negative impact overall.

People actually alter their sexual preference by repeated mastubating to this cheap fakery and cease to find real women beautiful, or have any idea how to actually have sex with a real person in a way that results in mutual enjoyment. Women often respond to their inept poking around, by faking and getting over with ASAP rather than just going "Ow! Stop! You're doing it wrong...". Result is average level of sexual competence among men is pretty low. Most porn stars make a pretty good living and they aren't abused in any way in the making of the porn. If they were unhappy with what was going on, they would just leave. Its not hard for a pornstar to get a job, so they can be picky.

And then there is the audience, who is probably predominantly male. Many men get excited by a lot of noisy sex. And many men also have fantasies about horny women who want to serve them sexually.
