I just checked my bank account statement online..... I spent $150 in the past 2 weeks and more than half of it was on useless shit..... I smoked a lot this weekend and bought way too much munchies... that's part of it..... plus I bought shit weed as a favor to my friend when I could've got better stuff for the same price..... some more money down the drain...... I need to quit being so careless.... any advice? I'm going to start a financial plan, until I get a job (I have an interview this week, wish me luck)...
I have $60 to get me through the week, will be getting another $10 or $20 during the course of the week..... I'd like to buy $40 in weed at the end of the week.... that's not a problem..... its the rest of the money.... I don't want to lose it.... I need some cost-saving ideas...... I have a full tank of gas, should be good for about 5 days.... all else I need to buy is food and cigarettes, how can I keep from blowing it all???

by the way, if that was hard to understand, I'm sorry, just smoked a couple of hours ago and the math is kind of confusing.....

well, if i were you, I'd set up a bank account for the money you need to put back and save. work out a budget and set a limited amount of money you spend per week. Also, stop buying all of the worthless shit. Good luck with that interview dude.

keep food from home with you instead of buying fast food. if you eat fast food daily, it adds up quick

if you dont have one get a savings account........tally up all your bills per pay period and whatever is left over put it in your savings account and DONT touch it! But do leave a little left over in your checking/spending account for a little play money...coffee, cigs, a bite to eat, maybe a new video game(once in a while). your savings acct is only for emergencies like say you lose your job and you gotta pay rent while your unemployed...or saving up for a new car....or you want to invest some of it.

I also hardly EVER carry cash...I find when I carry cash I am more prone to spend it. I use my debit card, whenever I pull it out it for whatever reason makes me think of what I got in the bank.

another biggie....don't waste money on going out to eat! if you are going out to eat everyday for lunch you are just burning money. buy groceries and pack a lunch everyday......I limit myself to going out to eat once a week and even then I end up only going out to eat during lunch only twice a month. samething with dinner! dont waste money on buying dinner or take out all the time....when I cook I make enough for left overs for lunch and dinner the next day...that saves me tons of money! same thing as before applies - ordering a pizza once in awhile isn't gonna kill but just make sure its once in awhile!

cancel crap you dont need.......do you have netflix that sit on your counter for 3months and you never watch them? cancel netflix. do you have a gym membership you never use? do you have XM radio(a luxury you could probably live without).... do you need HBO and Cinemax? etc etc etc....all that little shit adds up.
