rolling joint without tobacco?

ok so from everything ive heard and read, when you roll a joint your suppose to put tobacco with it to make it burn better. i was wondering if i could just put weed in there with nothing else?im really not into cigs and tobacco

Here in Belgium almost everyone roll there joints with a mixture of weed (or hasj) and tobacco. Or they take the tobacco out of a filter cigarette or they take tobacco from rolling cigarettes. Even in the coffeeshops in Holland they roll with mixtures of tobacco and cannnabis. Maybe it is because the weed here is more pure than in the states.

The reason tobacco burns so nicely is all the freaking chemicals they put in. The list is amazing (google it) Saltpeter is one of them- it was once used to prevent erections(!)- don't know if it worked that way or not (I'm female, so I don't have to worry about that). But you guys might want to think about it since tobacco on it's own can lead to problems in that department later on in life. Tobacco messes you up in so many ways! Don't use it! Granny:hippy:

Only reason I'd use any tobacco at all with herb is for the smell of tobacco in public places, and even then you don't need a whole lot. Also, might want to try to get some roach material without inks, probably not good to accidentally smoke.

Its and eastern canadian thing. i have lived all over canada, and if people in the west see you rolling with tobacco they will judge you for it haha. its an ontario quebec/parts of the maritime thing. Even though i live in Ottawa and a lot of people roll with tobacco im a purist, weed only.

its not such a crime when you do it in this area because a lot of what you find in quebec is the outdoor...northern lights i think its called...whatever it is its not the nicest stuff you can find thats for sure. so if someone wants to roll that with tobacco they might as well its not like the weed is exactly top shelf.

only time i ever smoked a ciggarette in my life, i smoke two after a joint and i threw up everywhere, havent touched em sense, i would not recommend smoking tobacco at all really not even while high

EDIT: The only way it would boost your high is if you're a first time smoker. It would either give you a buzz or make you sick. But if you're a smoker and smoke a pack a day then a cigarette won't do anything after a joint except give you your nicotine.

ok so i put the rest of my weed in the joint, and cut the mouth piece shorter. the question i have is im going to share this with a couple of friends in a couple days, and if i pull the mouth piece a little bit it falls out. is there anything i can do about this?or do i just have to live with it until we smoke it?

that probably means its not tightly roled, try to twist the filter with the paper around it and apply pressure, but dont twist too hard or youll rip it, otherwise you could just take the filter out and twist it like a regular j

I never use a filter/mouthpiece with a joint. Just try to roll a tighter joint next time or if all else fails buy a rolling machine. You'll have a perfect joint every time.

I prefer mouthpieces. It keeps the joints structure and keeps your lips from getting burned. I always use a mouth piece. Use like the back of a pen or other stick-like thing to pack the back in before you twist it. Keeping it packed in keeps the joint burning straight and slower. I always use only cannabis. in terms of filters, i always use one. it prevents the end of the joint getting "juiced" and closing up, and you can smoke it right down to the filter and toss it opposed to carrying around a roach.

whenever that happens to me, i have to roll again. or else, i find when i try to push the filter up, it makes the weed too tight in that area and doesn't smoke well. i say roll again, until you get the perfect joint, then smoke it. it'll be so much better :jointsmile:

Loose roaches (mouth piece) can be fixed by re-rolling the entire joint, twisting around the roach a bit, making a larger roach, etc.

I usually roll with Joker King size papers so I can get them how I want them to be. I used to suck a rolling but I got much better at it. Roll it with the mouth-piece in. (I just roll up a piece of paper for the mouth-piece).Then use the back of a pencil or small stick to pack the back in. To make sure behind the mouth-piece is packed, I push the mouth-piece forward and it packs the weed tighter behind it. Then I just cut off the excess paper with sissors and have an nicely rolled joint.

Don't bash spliffs. If I roll, I always roll with tobacco. I smoke cigarettes too, so maybe its just smokers preference. But I don't think theres any way to beat a nicely rolled spliff of some Grandaddy Purp and Bali Shag tobacco.

I live in England and no-one around where I live (in the midlands) has heard of smoking a spliff without tobacco which annoys me because I hate the taste of it so now I only smoke the joints I roll. Pure all the way

the tradition probably came from France since they were the ones who invented rolling papers. before then tobacco and cannabis were smoked in pipes or tobacco leaf (cigars). they probably brought papers to the carribean when the colonized it and started filling them with the native green leafs
