You are one of the more experianced persons here.

I read one of your comments where you stated that you top your plants and that you grow trees.

I have a grow box 4'x4'x7'h with 600w mh/hps. I currently have 15 plants from seed in there on there 2nd week, and they are starting there 5th set of leaves.

my question is what is your veg cycle length with how many plants, also when do you top your plants. I want to get the best possible yeild out of what I have.

what do you recomend?

experienced ? ... that just means I've been killing healthy plants, longer than most growers ... :D ... my cabinet is 2' x 4' x 7', with a 400-watt MH/HPS ... I usually start out with say, ten seeds, grow the best eight seedlings in 8-inch pots ... I typically veg for eight weeks ... I usually top, (since I prefer sativa-dominants) after the fifth-sixth internodes ... I try to prune the tops, change lights to 12/12 schedule, and change nutrients from 'Grow' to 'Bloom', all about a week apart from each other ... I assume each change may stress the plant a bit, so I try to spread the changes apart a few days ... then, my flowering periods usually last 7-9 weeks, depending on strains ... about the time of switching to flowering, I also transplant into #5 pots, and usually have to thin the crop again, down to six plants, to allow more room for each plant in my small cabinet ...
... I am soon joining my father, Darth Vader, on the Dark Side, where I will be taught the Jedi ways of growing hydroponically (which, supposedly, will give me betetr results, with only two pots ) ... ( yes, I am scared :wtf: ) ... :jointsmile:

I am growing w/w for the first time which is I think is 40/60 indica, sativa. That puts it sativa dominate.

The issue I have now is my plants are at the point that you top but only 3" to 4" tall with maybe a quarter inch between nodes. Should I wait till they are a little bigger or top them now?

Also what is the differance in yeild doing it your style? Luckly I have twice the space as you so I won't have to thin the flock as much.
