View Full Version : salt substitute?
i wanna clean my piece but, im not sure if a salt substitute will work? Will it?
I've always heard that the salt simply acts as an abrasive, so you could at least *try* it with something else that would seem to act abrasively...

Salt alone will do little to nothing to clean your pipes. You need either Butane or Isopropanal Alcohol (rubbing alcohol) along with salt, to clean your pipes. If you have neither butane or ISO, use very hot water, and salt to clean them.
Even so, use 99% ISO to clean your pipes.

Get a big Ziplock bag put enough alcohol to fully immerse your immerse your pipe, put salt in your pipe and toss it in.
