My plant is in the pre-flowering stage, but I want my plant to grow bigger before it flowers.
Can I keep the lights at 18/6, let it grow for 30 more days then switch to 12/12? Or do I have to let it flower now?

seaogreenies,
We are going to need alot more info to help you,
What strain you are growing?
How long have you been at 18/6?
How big is your space?
How big are your plants?
Pics will help alot if you have them?
To attempt to answer your question, Most strains grown indoors are grown 4 weeks veg, then 8 weeks flowering. You can veg longer but most don't due to space. The basic rule of thumb is if you have a plant 1' tall at 4 weeks, then at the end of flowering it will be 3' tall at 12 weeks. So the size of the plant increased 200% in hight from the time you switched the light too 12/12 until harvest.
hope this helps lol

you can veg your plants out longer if you'd like, just keep them at 18 hours, switch to 12 hours about a week before you want them to start budding ... I veg indoors 8 weeks, and flower, usually, 7-9 weeks more, depending on strain ... my cabinet is 7-feet tall, about 5 feet of growing room, when you figure in room for the lamp, pots, etc. ... and, I usually top my plants during veg ... I like a mature plant, with better yield ... :smokin:

Image reper,
So you top yours, not train them?
How long do you veg for 8 weeks? I have basically the same size box with 15 plants in there currently, I am in week 2 and they are 3" to 4" tall going on 5th set of leaves. I started with seed so I am going to have to weed out the males
I am trying to get max yeild out of this grow, so how should I proceed.
