Reactions to being Pulled Over

What would be your reaction to a situation where you where high, like a 7 or an 8, and was pulled over by the police for whatever violation?

I was riding in my cop car with two friends of mine, Andrew and Carlos. We were heading down to the nearby lake, Hesperia Lake, and possibly toke it up there and fish. We toke a few hefty bowls of Juicy Fruit between ourselves and are set to leave. Before we leave and start the car I always tell people to put their seatbelts on, it's a rule.
We start to hit a stop sign to turn right and I see this Cop coming towards me turning left into the road I'm leaving. He stares at my car for a second and flips a bitch quick.
I quickly pulled over because he just as quickly flipped on his lights and siren. I'm pretty high at the moment, we only smoked like 15 minutes ago. The cop approaches the window and I roll down the window about 1/3 of the way. He immediately asks Carlos, who was in the back leaning way too forward, if he just put his seatbelt on as he was coming up to the window. He says no and I say no he put it on 15 minutes ago when we left.
The cop leers at me and asks for my license, registration, etc. I pull out my wallet and give him my license and I generally respond to him. He leaves comes back and tells me I'm free to go.

The weird thing was that when I put my wallet back into my pocket, I saw my baggy of herb in between my legs and It Wasn't there before. It felt out when I pulled out my wallet to initially give my license to the cop.
I guess the cop didn't see it or else I thinkn I would have went down. Who knows?

Last time I was pulled over I shit had a bong under my Jacket ..My heart rate went thru the roof ,I was shakin ....After a clean warrant check they let me go .....phew ..My heart was still racing 10 mins later...I hate cops ..when I have weed on me they make me very nervous..wish they would go find some real criminals and leave us paranoid stoners alone :mad:

I don't do well with cops, whenever I see them I panic. A little while ago me and a few friends were parked in our old HS parking lot, about to get into separate cars and head elsewhere after smoking a blunt earlier. A cop pulls into the lot and I got bud on me. I ask my friends what to do and one says eat it, so I shove all the green into my mouth. When the cops start pulling us out of the car though, there's bud all down the front of my hoody and the cops just laugh at me. Let us all go though. So I guess I dont react very well to being caught off guard by the police.

I think the coolest experience I ever had with a situation like this is when my friends and I were smoking up off a highway at a government park thing, it was just like a small parking lot near a stream, not a big state park or anything. Anyway, we were all stoned when a cop rolls up, he takes one look at my friend's bloodshot eyes and tells us to give him whatever we have and he'll just leave. Why was it cool? Cause he was talking shit on the highway patrol about how we better leave because if they caught us they would have a boner while writing us all up...lol

Never been pulled over while high or with weed on me, however, Ive been in a parked car smoking a joint while a cop like a steathly ninja that comes around a walking path on a bicycle looking right at me while i exhale a hit... he does a swing around. and at that moment... i almost screamed, HOW THE FUCKKK!!!!!!. however he just asked for my ID and my passengers ID and called them in to see if we have warrants and we did not, thus he just said, have a nice day, and biked off.

The first and only time I've been busted by the police with anything on me was totally my fault because I panicked. Some friends and I were skating on some fresh blacktop and had just got done smokin when a cop rolls by. I have the bag, so I freak out and run over to a nearby fence to throw it over. The cops see this and before I can even take 3 steps I'm hit with the spotlight. I just froze. After 10 minutes of harrassment and searching my friends car for no appearant reason and coming up empty I thought they were going to let us go. One cop told us to leave, but while I was opening up the car door the other one told me to stop so he could pat me down. That's when the handcuffs came out. You can take it from there.

No, this was a regular city cop, but he was saying if a highway patrol found us they would have had a boner for writing us all tickets, not just for the pot, but being at a park after hours, etc. Haven't you ever seen the old TV show chips? Those are california highway patrol, they patrol the highways, IE highway patrol. This was just a regular city cop, these are two separate divisions, and so naturally they rub shoulders, and it was just funny to hear this cop talk like that in front of us. Wasn't a big deal, but it was funny and really he could have written us up for a lot of shit and made our night really shitty, but instead he just took a little weed and left. nobody had any viagra lol

and they dont scare me at all anymore...everytime I get pulled over (that's been alot), I always always always get asked if they can search me...knowing it's a violation of my rights, I do it anyway because I don't want to go through anymore trouble...I'm a little more on edge during the search, but they have never looked in my roof, and by just letting them get their rocks off searching my car it keeps the dogs away...the dogs would definitely know its there...

I've been given tickets a total of 14 times, and only two I didn't get searched, I have no idea why I put off that vibe...I got searched one time by the undercover because "my car matched a stolen car profile"

I've never been pulled over in a vehicle with friends or by myself. I've walked past hundreds of cops while blazed out of my mind carrying bags on me. The only time i really get paranoid is if i'm smoking a joint in a shady spot with a large amount on me. I always think the feds are gonna roll up or some boys are gonna come and jack me lol.

I've never been pulled over while carrying. I have been pulled over for speeding, but luckily for me, I was coming home from a job interview and wasn't carrying anything.

I get paranoid around cops and whenever I'm smoking, every car looks like a cop car. The paranoia isn't so bad where I freak out, but I just have to walk in the other direction, but I try not to make it obvious.

I do pretty well by keeping myself calm, when a cop pulls me over. But having some of your herb fall out your wallet and land between yours is another situation. Good thing he didn't see that.

I must not have that look, cause the closest I've been to being caught was having the cops stop me and a friend while walking(I had an O in my pocket). Instead of searching me the cop sat there and searched and harassed my friend. When I asked if he wanted me to empty my pockets he said no!! instead he went on accusing my friend of being high. He searched my friend twice while I sat right there with an O in my hoody pocket.

hahah, i have a couple good stories. the other night i was walkin with a couple friends to one of thier houses. popos roll up, and are pissed off. first time ive ever heard a cop curse. first thing he says to us is: 'get the fuck over here'. hahaha. naturally, we were scared outta our minds. blazed, with a sack... not the greatest combination when dealin with the cops. eventually, after 4 cop cars pull up they tell us that they want to arrest us for breaking property or something like that. apparently a pumpkin got smashed in the street...
4 cop cars, 15 minutes of questioning in the rain, and a call to each of our parents over a smashed pumpkin. bastards have nothing better to do with there lives.

another time, me and 4 other friends were chillin at a playground, baked as hell. just finished off wat was left of my sack. cop rolls by, and 3 of us dip across the soccer field. the other 2 guys just hid behind the playground equipment and didnt get seen. the cop straight up pulls a 180 at like 25-30 mph, smoke shootin out from his tires, and guns it after us. obviously he wasnt about to drive across the field, so he tries to go around and catch us at the other side, and he beams us with his spotlight right as we're gettin to the other side of a hill. i see a trash can and i throw the lil ass nug that was left in. he tears around the corner, and we hide in some bushes for like 20 mins, and we watch multiple cops roll by during that time.
later, we're headed back to my buddys house, and a cop car speeds thru a stop sign, right past us, and parks right next to an SUV-cop. we got one block left to go, so we take off and run inside. bastards were soooo pissed.

My first encounter i freaked out and it didn't go well, nothing that i couldn't get fixed with a little effort but needless to say anything that involves handcuffs is bad. However ever since then I've always played it kinda cool, in fact my last encounter with a cop involving weed was me smiling and waving to one as i had the end of a blunt hanging out of my mouth. He smiled and waved back.

edit: remembered a recent story my brother told, and i had to share it. He was hanging out at his college orientation meeting a few people and smoking bud, and they saw these kids sitting in front of the frigging college sign and smokin a j. Him and his friend saw the cops noticing these kids and tried to warn them as they didn't want anyone getting in trouble at the school before school even started. This ends up evolving into like a 20 minute on foot chase that ended in my brother and his friend ninja'ing down this 15 or so foot wall and losing the cops. Wish i could have been there to have seen it.

It was a '97 Crown Vic. All black except white doors, it even had the ram bumpers on the front and the spotlights. It didn't have lights, the cage in the back, or the sirens, but I still pulled over people and messed with kids.

It was great for a Junior and Senior year in highschool. Amazing car.
0-60 in 9.8 sec, not bad for a huge ass vehicle.

I was out with 3 of my cousins one night just riding around enjoying my buzz trying to get high when we got flipped a bitch on, so we went around a corner to turn into a store parking lot for the cop, so i dumped my oz. in the ditch so he couldn't see. After running everyones names through he made us get out the car because he could smell the blunt we just got done blazing. He called 2 more cars on us, they searched through the car for about 30 minutes while we stood in the cold & came up with 4 seeds. The dumbass cop says "This is all we need" then hands my cousin Chris the seeds saying "Yeah see those? Your fixing to go to jail for them". Chris throws the seeds out in the highway when the cars are going by & replies with "See what?". Well that didn't sit well with the police officer & he couldn't do shit about it because he turned his lights off during the search which cuts his camera off. So we listened to him bitch & watched him try & find something else in the car. He wrote Chris a no seat belt ticket & a speeding ticket & let us go. I waited for a while, dipped back to the store & got my oz. Smoked me a nice big blunt & laughed all way home.

my roommate and i were in her car driving home and we were pretty stoned. she thought she was ok to drive, but wasnt as sober as she initially thought. and we got stopped at a ride check point where they check your sobriety, so i mean, this is what they are looking for!

they asked if she had been drinking, she confidently said no, not a drop. it was the truth. and they asked if we had enough left overs (i was holding food) to share, and i said sure because i wasnt going to eat it. they laughed and told us to have a good night and a safe ride.

its good we didnt get busted, i had a 1/4 in my purse, that would have sucked a lot.

but i dont tend to get nervous with the police....i study law and have to spend a fair bit of time dealing with the legal system....so its not so bad for me

I'm the same more or less, seriously them cops need to get a life. It's such bullshit, they will pull anyone for weed and harrass them yet the real criminals are getting away. But I guess we've heard this too many times before and we shouldn't REALLY, ideally be on the road in the first place if we're high. I can drive and control my driving normally, but if there was to be an accident, anything could happen and the other party....they have a full life of their own and I could destroy that? So it's best just NOT to drive but then again, I have to drive and whenever Im out, I smoke...so? I don't know, I just take it easy.

WIth the cops, I think if you give them eye contact, look at them, or act paranoid in any way, they WILL pull you up, because they'll think why was he looking at me? Just be normal and avoid eye contact, if/when high, and you see a cop car, just be totally normal. If you don't do anything silly and just drive normally, I don't think they'll come for you, but then again there aren't no guarantees. You can't trust cops so...?

This whole weed/cop thing has to be the biggest injustice in the history of mankind. FFS I'm not murder or rape anyone. I just like to get high. Leave me alone officer :rasta:

I wouldn't look away, why would someone look away if they were doing nothing wrong? I saw some cop show yesterday where a cop was in his van, saw someone on the street, the person looked away, the officer immediately became suspicious of that and got out. The suspect ran, he was caught and arrested. Be confident and direct, avoid hand to head contact, they look for that. Avoid lighting a cig because they know you're masking the smell or trying to calm your nerves. Why are you nervous? Be cool.

Just act like the cops best friend jeeez. Ask him how his nights going, act like he was your neighbor.
When you show a cop that you don't fear them, Act like your glad he's doing his job. And remember that, this guys worst fear is a traffic stop that turns deadly. If you think about it in terms of, He's just as scared walkin up to you, You'll realize cops calm down a good bit when they see you as cooperating.

The other day my buddy and I drove to a nice lake in the back of a nice neighborhood to smoke a blunt. It was probably around midnight. A bunch of my friends go there a lot to smoke, so I really wasn't paranoid or anything :rastasmoke:.
However, while me buddy was rolling the blunt in my passenger seat, I saw headlights come up behind me. I just assumed it was some other stoners rollin up so I didn't think much of it. That's when the cops little search light turned on and I knew immediately it was a cop. I told me buddy it was a cop, and he didn't believe me...until the cop flicked on his siren lights. My buddy had the blunt half way rolled and he shoved the whole thing in his pocket. He spilled weed all over my car. I'm not going to lie.. I was scared shitless. I thought for sure I was going to end up in that cop car. My buddy asked if he should eat the weed. I told him to chill the fuck out haha. The cop pulled up on us so fast. Next thing I knew he was at my window. He asked what we were doing out there by ourselves at midnight and I told him I was having family problems and I went out here to talk to my buddy about it. He probably thought we were gay. Two guys sitting in a car in front of a lake at midnight talking.. ha. He asked for both our ID's and left. Right after he pulled away I noticed my friend had used a big as knife to cut the blunt ( don't know why.. ugh idiot) and he the knife right next to me. Good thing the cop didn't shine his flashlight in my car. I would have been fucked.

One time me and a pal had about 3 pounds in the car...I ran a stop sign, while turning right...really, really stupid...and there, right there coming at me is a cop...I shit...the cop picked up his microphone and over the speaker said, why don't you try stopping next time? and just kept moving...I shook for about an hour...back then in 1970, this would have been a felony and serious prison time had we been caught...color me Mr. Lucky

On the two occasions I have been pulled over I have gotten lucky twice. Both times I had a car load of friends and each one of us had either MJ or a peice on us. The first time the cops pulls me over and asks, "Did I see you cut through that parking lot? " I said no, then he said, well I pulled you over because you dont have a front licence plate(VA law) which I was certain I had unless someone had stolen it. So I was like, What?! you kidding right? so he goes to the front and looks and says Oh you do have one, now I have to let you go because I dont have probable cause. The second time me and my friends were actually smoking in the car and got pulled over, this time he didnt even tell me what he pulled me over for, he asked for my ID and reg, when back to his car, and like 2 minutes later he comes running back up literaly throws my stuff into my lap and takes off sirens blaring, guess he had better stuff to attend to.

In the car man, I got pulled over just about every month once or twice. It sucked, but at the same time it was tight.

This one time I ran a stop sign and the cop gave me the ticket, as he turned his back to go back to his car, I asked him if he would stay for a second so that we could COMPARE cop cars. He stayed for about 15 minutes and we joked around and popped our hoods and what not.
I never got a ticket in the mail for that stop sign incident and I was really honest and cooperative.

That cop was cool, and I even tried to outrun him too.

it happens all the time, but i hate when ppl get nervous around cops. my mindset is: 'do i feel like running thru bushes and jumping over stuff today?'
if no, then i just act like im a very law abiding citizen that is shocked to be stopped. i cooperate in every way, and i even try to hold a conversation with the guy. if u give him no reason to search u or to suspect anything, then hes gonna think ur clean.

if yes, then i book it. soon as i see the mother fucker i dip anywhere a car cant follow, lol. i live in a highly wooded neighborhood, so theres alot of random forests n shit. obviously thats my first hiding spot. if i cant get there without being seen, ill just post up in someones back yard hiding in a bush for 10 mins or so.
during this time of year i always hav a hoodie, so watever clothes the cop saw me in, i change. like ill take the hoodie off, or put my t-shirt on over top of it, or something like that. when you run they radio other cops saying 'be on the lookout for a teenager in jeans and a black hoodie'. so if u change that a little bit, ur much less likely to get stopped.
i guess when u run as much as i do, these things come naturally.. just from experience. ive gotten away so many damn times, i dont even give it a second thought. karma will catch up to me one day... haha

Last thursday my boy and I were just chilling at Sonic ordering our food and blazing a blunt like we always do and someone in their car called us in. The cops came down there and told us there was report called in about two teenagers rolling and smoking marijuana. We for one never rolled the blunt at Sonic, we rolled the blunt at my house then sparked it up as we walked out the door. We didn't tell the cops that but we told them we were clean and didn't smoke in the vehicle. We did tell them that we smoked previously that day, but it had been hours since then. To make a long story short the damn dirty cops robbed us. Took about $60 out of the middle console, ate all of my french fries and cheader peppers from Sonic, took my friends digi's, and took a zanex that my friend had laying under his carseat that we didn't know about. Luckily we searched the car for weed earlier because we were waiting on some Dro to come through and needed some bud to pass the time. This was about 10 minutes before the cops showed up when we finished smoking the blunt. Lucky us. But the cops were being dicks the whole time and put us both in the back of the police car for about an hour and a half before letting us go. But at least we got off with not charges but the dudes were still dirty as hell.
