Damn son... I don't know about you but I don't disrespect my weapons like that... What type of firearm do you have? I have a 11-87, but I'm gonna get a S.A. 1911 as soon as I can afford too (maybe next spring or summer).

Here's my Remmington 11-87 Premier LC (Premier means it has the fine-line scroll work on the receiever, though I only took pics of one side b/c the seriel number is on the other, and LC means Light Contour, which is the barrel)

hello just curious what is the appeal of guns and knives if its against the law to use them on peeps?

Buck268
02-02-2005, 04:31 PM
First, its not against the law to use them in self defence.

Second, I happen to enjoy hunting up some birds and rabbit when I have the time ;) Also enjoy sporting clay's compititions, and I ain't too bad at shooting, if you get me ;)

I would avoid using a .22 as a defensive round if at all possible. The ballistics are just horrible... Hell even a .38 is better! 9mm para/luger is definately a much better choice as a defensive handgun, which really doesn't recoil too badly... I'm going to get a .45ACP (S.A. 1911) eventually, myself ;) Though I'd like to get a .22LR (or maybe .22WMR) revolver for plinking and what-not :)

slipnslide087
02-02-2005, 06:42 PM
nahhhh professional killers prefer 22's....i had a P99 befor ethis, and i like the P22 better actually. 22 get the job done, and they are compact, which i also like better that the 38. well 9mm about same shit.

Buck268
02-02-2005, 06:43 PM
Are you a professional assasine? Are you going be able to hit a perp. in either the heart or brain on the first or second shot every time? How about in the middle of the night being woken up by breaking glass?

See what I'm saying ;)

slipnslide087
02-02-2005, 06:47 PM
no, im still amateur.....just kidding......no its just a fact that most serial killers weapon of choice was a 22. the first blow to the stomach area would if not kill them slow them down enough for a 2nd 3rd or 4th (depending on how pissed i am). like in fight, if i get a jab in to the person im fighting, thats the best time to then go in for a follow through blow that packs a lot more power.

slipnslide087
02-02-2005, 06:48 PM
well anywhere in the torsoe for that matter....except the shoulder, he could sitll shoot me if i tagged him in the shoulder, but he would have to be quick bc round 2 would be right behind that.

Kids...

No offense slipn ;) but your concept of defensive handgunning is flawed and could cost you your life if you don't realize it. Typically if it comes to firing on someone I hope for your sake (in the eyes of the law) they posed a direct and immediate threat to you. And if thats the case the quicker you can stop them the better. And a .22LR, .22S, .22WMR will have little to no immediate stopping power. Its very well proven.

slipnslide087
02-02-2005, 07:03 PM
multiple rounds do the job.....i know something that can make them take a step back like at least a 9mm or 38 would be nice. if it came down to stopping someone there are other guns in my house..... i will post them....they arent mine though. just the P22. but i get what your sayin man and i agree. im just saying it could do the job, but right, my chances arent much slimmer. i hope i dont have to use it that way anyways, but if i did get into a break in or soemthing...i would def grab a weapon of greater power.

slipnslide087
02-02-2005, 07:09 PM
theres a P99, some kind of sig.......and a 50 cal sniper rifle....my cam is dead after the p99 pic, but soon enough i will post the rifle

Buck268
02-02-2005, 07:10 PM

Buck268

Buck268
02-02-2005, 09:11 PM
YOu sure that Muchmaster is a .50cal? Looks like their M4 varient to me, which is typically chambered in 5.56NATO (.223REM for your varmit hunters)

OzzyOz
02-02-2005, 09:13 PM
i have a airsoft gun, yeah it's pretty good ;)

Hektik
02-02-2005, 09:18 PM
.22? might as well throw rocks really hard. 357 magnum is where my love is at, recoil like a bitch though. Easy if you can handle it

is the silencer nessessary. I'm just asking because i have never fired a real gun (handgun or rifle) but do they allow a silencer at the shooting range?

Nope. I'm sure some ranges do and some done... I'm not much of a range shooter, typically just find some woods up north ;)

Billiegirl
02-02-2005, 09:34 PM
i'm not sure what it is, but it's pretty. and big and shiny. and just enough trouble. lol. i bet no one would bother me if i had that thing on my hip.

Buck268
02-02-2005, 09:45 PM
Are you talking about the P99? If so that fires a 9mm parabellum round... Not my favorite cartridge, but it has its fans...

slipnslide087
02-02-2005, 10:16 PM
yeah the handgun is a 9mm....yes the bushmaster is def 50 cal.

slipnslide087
02-02-2005, 10:16 PM
i could post one of the rounds next to a 22 and a 9mm.....then you could tell

Buck268
02-02-2005, 10:32 PM
I'll take your word for it, thats cool... Just an easy mistake to make, I dunno how well you know firearms (seems like your not a moron though :P )

slipnslide087
02-02-2005, 10:40 PM

slipnslide087
02-03-2005, 01:59 PM
WHOOOAAAAAA sorry buck man, but i was fucked up yesterday......right now i just woke up and shit so im sboer, and im telling you thats not a fucking sniper rifle wtf was i thinking.......its actually not even 50 cal. damn.....i still dont know the exact name....but its made by bushmaster and its exactly the same as an M-16. the rounds are .223 elongated rounds that really fuck you up. they are designed to bounce around in your body, like go in your stomach and come out of your left should blade. crazy...yeah so sorry about that though, yesterday i was convinced thats what it was, but as i said the 9mm and the M16 like guns are not mine. just the P22. haha

Buck268
02-03-2005, 03:09 PM
Yeah, its Bushmaster's XM15, looks to be the carbine version... The round your talking about is teh 5.56NATO (likely the SL109 varient which hs a much longer slug, and tends to tumble upon impact, especially at close range) :D

... I'm a dork :p

slipnslide087
02-03-2005, 03:19 PM
hell yeah,.....yeah the guy that owned those was in the military, he would be able to tell everything about it...not me. i think its a pretty badass gun though.

Buck268
02-03-2005, 04:45 PM
Your thinking right ;) Those Bushies are nice. I'm an Armalite guy myself, but I definately wouldnt mind a Bushmaster if one came my way.
