I just bought 3 grams this evening, and my friend asked about it. I took some pictures for him and he said it was Northern Lights. Yes? No? Difficult to tell?

If anyone can guess based on the bad resolution of these pictures, I'd appreciate it.

P.S. I have difficulty figuring out how to get the entire object to be focused, rather than just a portion of it. I should probably try and find the manual.

hmm cant really tell are the buds themselves that dark or is it the light, cuz i had some N L and it was much lighter then that and very crystalicous

Yeah, I figured that by looking at pictures, it would be difficult to tell what kind of strain it is.

Sort of.. my dumb ass can't figure out how to properly focus on the object, so.. it's difficult. Part of it IS the lighting, because it was taken in my room and it's all incandescent lighting.

you cant tell a strain just by looking at a bud. You can, however, tell if it's good shit or not.

You should ask when you buy it.

Sorry, I really should have searched, and I appreciate you linking me to that. I called him up today and he did say it was Northern Lights.

Either way, my friend and I are going to enjoy it. Thanks for the help, all.

im not sure about northern lights cos i dont really know much about different weed names and what they look like, but all i can say is, it definately doesnt look like normal weed, and btw, you get all sorts of weeds like northern lights, kush etc whats the name for plain weed? is it weed?

It looks good. Have a taste, you will know in less than a minute how potent it is. I think the only way to KNOW a variety is if you grow your own from seeds you bought from a seed company.

im talking about, you get all these strains called Kush, Northern Lights, but is there any such thing as just PLAIN WEED no clones no hybrids etc just the original plant or is everything we smoke these days a different strain?

The shitty stuff is weed, a strain of weed is just a group of genetic characteristics that has been bred and selected for. Mexican ditch weed hasn't been bred and stabilized enough to be a 'strain'
