I agree big time with the two lads that mentioned old 007 movies... They're so good when you're stoned

And Goin Easy just gave me an aweseome idea- I've gotta watch a Wes Anderson movie baked! I love his movies, but I haven't watched any high yet. Rushmore and Steve Zissou are incredible

Zardoz has to be one of the greatest movies to watch stoned. Check it out, it's an old 70's low budget sci-fi production with Sean Connery, taking place way in the future, and the story is original and great, and the plot is pretty clever and confusing enough to make it a great stoner movie. I wanna say so much about how cool the plot is, but it'd be way better for you to blaze out and experience it for yourself!

Trainspotting is also a great stoner movie

Requiem for a Dream - regardless of whether you're stoned out of your mind, or sober as a judge... this movie is a real eye-opener and fascinating either way you look at it.

What a powerful movie. My favorite scene is when Ledo imagines taking the cops gun and they are tossing it back and forth over his head. The helplessness of the cop without his gun I found humorous. It was also a skillfull direction to cut it back to him just staring at it. Very well done film.

Trainspotting and Fear and Loathing never get old for me either.

Hunter S. Thompson is a genius. The book is 5 times better than the movie. I say this because you would have to watch the movie 5 times to get the same effect of reading the book once. The dialogue is to die for. Clever mother fucker.

The intricacies that went into making/directing that film are nothing short of breathtaking. It's hard for me to find a favorite scene in that movie, I love 'em all.

I've always loved Hunter's writing, and only hope that one day my own writing will evolve into something as candid and captivating as his was. It'll be tough reaching that same level without the cocktails of various drugs, but it'll definitely be fun trying!

Haha, I think it was Vonnegut or Bukowski that asked the question whether writing while drunk made it better and easier or whether it was just an illusion. In Hunter's case, it added to his satiric appeal.

Haha, nice new addition to your signature. I was just reading that last night and found it to be quite poetic advice. Its that kind of insight that will save my plant this time around

Cisco Pike (1972) is the story of a former music star, played by Kris Kristofferson, who gets out of jail after serving a sentence for marijuana dealing. Gene Hackman is the corrupt narc that had busted Cisco, who then rips-off 100 keys of bud and coerces Cisco into selling 10 thousand dollars worth of it for him in three days.

Excellent cast includes Karen Black, Harry Dean Stanton, Doug Sahm and, in a bit role, Hugh "Wavy Gravy" Romney.

Who'll Stop the Rain (1978) Nick Nolte plays a tough Vietnam Vet turned merchant marine who also smuggles weed from Southeast Asia. He reluctantly accepts an offer from his partner to up the ante and bring back a shipment of hard drugs. The consequences are not good. VERY exciting film, with great action and plot. Adapted from the National Book Award winner, The Dog Soldiers, by Robert Stone. Nolte's character, Ray Hicks, was loosely based on beat hero/Hog Farm bus-driver Neil Cassady.

Note: these are both great films that happen to have drug-related themes, and they each have some humorous moments, but they are NOT "comedies".

Yeah, me too. I always wanna play Super Mario Bros. 3 for my original nintendo when I'm baked.

I think all those parody movies are pretty funny when stoned. By parody movies I mean Scary/Epic/Superhero Movie. I went to see Superhero Movie baked yesterday and thought it was friggin hilarious. The key is to go REALLY HIGH and have REALLY LOW expectations.

Also anyone remember the movie "Labyrinth" starring David Bowie ? That movie is trippy as balls (see picture)

Zeitgeist: Addendum is a great docu and a real eye opener. Not really a stoner movie but definitely something everyone needs to see.

"Peter Joseph's Zeitgeist Addendum, the sequel to his 2007 documentary Zeitgeist The Movie, was premiered on October 2, 2008. The film first explains how the fractional reserve banking system creates a system of perpetual debt. The latter part of the film describes an alternative societal model put forward by the Venus Project."

It's on google video for anyone interested.

Once I graduate college and have more free time on my hands, and actually want to write stuff,im gonna write the perfect movie for stoners! its gonna be based on one of my own experiances too! I jsut gotta write it down, and then find a studio to help me make it
