1000 watt hps 4 $130! Is it worth it ??

lol yeah, you might wanna check how old that bulb is, and how many hours its been run. It might be useless to you, although, you could just buy another bulb. A reflector hood and ballast for 130$ is a pretty good deal.

I got my set up for $375 so you got a good deal but it depends on your hood and if the lamp is out of life (an overdue lamp will still be working but wont have the proper lumens as it should) If your pumping 1000w out the ballast then youll want the lamp to give you the most lumens possible for your money per hour of use.

hehehe a replacement lamp costs about as much as you bought the whole setup

What brand? I would get a new bulb. The reflector might be shit, but even a ballast at that price is good.

Hope its not some jankie system some dude rigged up with the HPS that are the lights in the top of Lowe's or Home Depot!!!!!!!!!!!
Those evn thought het are HPS arent meant for growing.

hps is hps there is no difference.
2nd that is a good deal for that hps system.
3rd I do highly recommend getting a new bulb unless the person you're getting it from knows the hours on it, if 2000hrs or one grow or less don't worry about it. If over get a new bulb.
4th how many plants, this depends on a whole host of varables. 1000w will cover 5'x5' space you could grow 2 to 5 trees or 20 to 30 plants SOG style.
