Can i turn a he into a he-she?

I have only got one plant; I started growing it by accident so I wasn't well prepared. I ordered some lights, but there was a postal strike and they've still not arrived. My poor little plant is still doing ok and looking healthy(ish) under the crummy energy saving bulbs im using.

I donâ??t know if itâ??s a true male or if itâ??s a hermaphrodite but it just grew some balls. If it is a male is it possible to stress it into a hermie in the hopes of getting a little bud from it? I will watch it like a hawk and regularly neuter it so hopefully it wonâ??t go to seed.

Does this sound like a plan (even a lame one)?

Well the answer to the Q in the thread title is YES.
A male left long enough and allowed to grow old under 24h of light and even stressed a bit WILL throw pistils but this is a technique to use if you are DESPERATE to get a couple seeds off the last living example of your very favorite strain! I've got a Bogglegum male I'm trying to force herm atm but I think I may have OVERstressed and killed the poor thing.
You won't get 'bud' and it won't suddenly start producing resin either.

Start another seed. But save some pollen from the male (do a search on pollen storage). Better luck next time! Male can provide half-assed smoke (not great, but better than nothing and good for cutting bud in joints) and experience in growing. - Granny:hippy:

i had 1 male early pearl that i cubed the genetics out of. it takes time but it is possible if ya got enough space.
