ok so i was over at a friends house this weekend and he let me try some of his homegrown that he had just harvested.. it was ok but nothing special.. once we got into talking about growing strategies .. i was beginning to question myself on a few things..
first thing we disagreed on is that he said that the plant does better if you force it to have more than one "bud spot" ... he said to keep breaking it off everytime and the bud becomes more concentrated with thc... i could be wrong but i thought this was totally the opposite .. i thought if you only had one main bud spot on the plant you were better off...

And the other was his growing time.. this sounded obsurd to me.. he said he started his plants inside on the Feb 1... he just harvested them on thursday of this past week... that is 9 months... i thought the average grow time was around 3 or 4 months.. i dont know maybe im wrong on this...

Any input greatly appreciated...

Well 1 for 2 ain't bad in baseball...
Starting seedlings indoors in February for an outdoor crop isn't unusual at all.
The concentration of THC as a function of number of bud sites isn't a rule at all. It's a matter of genetics and care. Breaking off bud sites after about 2-3 weeks before the light cycle dips below 12/12 will not only NOT increase THC, it will decrease overall final yield of the plant.

So this is what i got from the blob of thought.

1.You wanna kno if pinching tips will give you more THC.

(Is it thru the grow or towards flower)?
(how many tops are you pinching)?
(w r u breaking )?:chainsaw:

But as for pinching and breaking, If you have a good OD strain than pinch/tie is needed to get full _growth_! not poantancy, poantancy is genitics side a da board. You will most likely
end up with little bud and a big headache wit attacking the plant in the described above IMO, I think yor heart told you ta "let it be." an tiz was right let it gro its own and treat it like sumthin snaps your arm and you gotta regrow it all back an some. its LOVE man that the key ta the maze.:detective1:

2.Growing for nine mnths.:icon506:

He well could have grown it but, I would guess thats why it was soso sbuds! YA DIG!!
Do what you may,mid april I think is a good time so the little ones can take root!!

feed plz

i cant imaging why it wold be bad to start a plant that eraly. keep the light cyle long as long as it does not start to bud you should be fine. just make sure once it starts to bud you dont let it go too long
