at some point this year i want to take at least a few weeks off from smoking because i've been doing it so much that I can split a fat bowl with someone and not even feel high. When is the best time for taking a break? I was thinking maybe the month before 4/20, and thn just go crazy on 4/20 and get ridiculously high. Is there any better time to take a break?

Why dont u just take a bong through your nose , i bet that'd get ya high !
wtf? Are you trying to be funny or something?
Anyway,...Now's good, I hope. Cause I'm doing the same thing myself. But I'm not really hepped up on getting blasted on Hitler's birthday, or is it Columbine, or that building Tim McVey blew up.....That's me tying to be funny.

unless you're going on a trip with your parents or something, anytime is good. During the abstinence period, find new and different things to do, otherwise it'll be hard not to blaze again. Take up a new hobby, start a new exercise regimen, hang out with family more, anything that is a sufficient and worthy distraction from the normal contentment of gettin blazed. When you start up again, smoke smallish amounts and put some time in between smoke sessions. This will help you not hit a plateau again. Have as many straight hours as you do stoned hours. You will appreciate MJ much more

I'm sorry. There's nothing funny about those tragic events and I shouldn't be so flippant. Those happening on that day are not coincidental, by the way. But 420 originated from the time of day and I personally celebrate that. I apologize. A lot of people take a few weeks break just before 4/20. But just before Thanksgiving is a good time to work up a healthy munchy craving. I agree with that replacement thing. More exercise is a good thing, said Martha.

Man... taking a break shouldnt be a "great occasion"... just stop smoking for some 4-5 days... it shall be enough... after it, when you smoke again, you will be HIGHH :stoned:

4-5 days? Are you sure? Started smoking and have never taken a break for more than two days. I'm waiting until Friday - so hopefully I'll get more ripped than usual.

Well... as im a daily/twice-a-day smoker, 4 days without smoking makes a GREAT difference for me...
The first and the second days are weird... you feel what is called a sober high... like... you feel high and sober at the same time... its very weird... the 3rd day is bad... you feel only sober... the 4th is pretty the same... but being sober isnt too bad as during the 3rd day. Since i started to smoke daily, i never had a break longer than 5 days, so i cant tell you how it feels.
Remember that the effects of a break depends very much on your habits. Like... the THC is stored in the fat of the body, and its released when the fat is burnt. As im very skinny, with almost no fat, 4 days without smoking are enough to all the THC stored in my body be burnt, so after it my tolerance is pretty low.
But im sure fatter people will need some more time... anyway, try it. If the effects were not enough, try making a longer break. But im sure after only 4 days you will feel a GREAT difference... :stoned:

Maybe you should try waiting 4-5 days and your toilet might look like the one in your avator :stoned:

Just have a smoke tonight and vow to not smoke again for one week. Keep yourself busy. Do anything you can to not smoke weed. Anything that is not harmful, like alcohol or cigarettes, if you don't normally smoke them.
Use this time to reflect on how great smoking is and how much better it will feel when toke again. Let you mind recharge after it is has been in a higher state for so long. This time spent in refrain will make that first day you smoke feel magical and special.
I have been working on this lately. I will go maybe two weeks to one week without smoking. When I have a quiet moment at home with nothing important to do, I lite it up. I find I appreciate this plant more and smoking became sacred to me. Give it a try.
As a side activity, I would recommend you try meditation during your period of abstinence it will help ease you through this transition.
Good luck with your break.

Just bite the bullet and wait for your reward you won't believe how baked you get after 2weeks off.
