the only way i know of is the way my buddies dad use to do it in the 70s and 80s, he would just tie down the plant to the side of the pot...

after four sets of true leaves develop u can start pinching off the new growth. this will cause the plant to produce two short main stems instead of one big one. u can do this 2 or 3 times during veg. or u can train the plant ( bend the stem downwards so it grows laterally.

what u mean true leaves??? like the pointy ones or do they have to have a certain number of fingers to be true leaves??? and is there anything i can do light wise??? and is there a specific time that i should start bending???
i have 2 plants going both i have bent one i did a better job training (its only 6 to 7 inch tall and its starting to bush out) the other one i have i have cut the tops off twice and it still grows fast

Twitch, do a search on these boards for 'LST' which is Low Stress Training, and 'topping' which is removal of the dominant apex.
