Silent Wolf

Yesterday evening i was due to fly out to Sydney (Australia) for a 4 week trip. But i had nothing but a bad experience since i arrived at the terminal. The check in que was about 3 miles long, the staff who are suppose to help were absolutely useless and bad tempered to say the least, everywhere was so overcrowded you couldn't even breath, and most vending machines didn't even work. But what pi**ed me off the most was how strict and oppressive the security checks have now become at the London airport. Only 1 very small carry on luggage is allowed. No food, magazines, liquids, electronics, pens, notepads, and ect are also banned. Basically, the only things you could carry on board was your passport, tickets, wallet, and medicine if you needed it. All which had to be individually placed in small plastic bags while you had hundreds of other people who were also getting realy irritated and fed up because of delays in checks.
But all this was before you even reach the boarding gates in which you had to go through yet more security checks, interrogation, and questioning with ques which are up to 2 to 3 hours long! By that time my plane was practically being boarded and i was psyically sick and tired with stress and worry. And in no way able to handle a 24 hr flight, even if i did manage to eventually reach the plane which seemed like an impossible mission, even for someone like james Bond!
In the end i decided to go down to the bar and have a few JD's just to calm me down, followed by a taxi ride home. I didn't reach home until 2:30 am.
I remember flying to the states a couple of years ago via Heathrow, and it wasn't as bad as that.:(
