Hey everyone... My short story is this. I got into debt in highschool from buying vehicles and then selling them for too much less than I paid for them. 9 to be exact. Well, I've been paying it off slowly but surely. I tried a technical college as soon as I graduated high school. A business and marketing program, I decided, was nothing of interest to me and I dropped out after the first semester. I'm 20, nearing 21 and will be able to finish paying the loan off this winter. I've been in this TERRIBLE SATANIC FUCKING TROUT SLAPPING debt for too long now, and feel a tremendous pressure, or yearning for lack of a better word, to go back to school. Film school to be exact. I'm always trying to expand my intellect with any subject, but all I have is a full time job and get a little tipsy (fucking WAAAASTED!) every weekend.

So I come to you, gurus, to ask. Does anyone have any good tips on how to keep my mind sharp on the subjects. Not just so I can ease myself back into school. But because I would like to apply knowledge socially every day.

Take 1 class initially as a student-at-large to make sure you like it.
If you do really well in the class, you'll have a foot in the door for the application process. Then, apply for a part-time internship in the media/communications field. Even if you end up doing grunt work, it will be your chance to see what goes on behind the scenes & make good connections. Also, start looking on Amazon.com for books on film making & buy them used to save cash.
