Ive seen a few pictures of some bongs that are made of bottles such as Patron, Grey Goose, etc. How do you get a hole in it, can you use a drill?? Also what do you to seal it besides tape.
Please help me out they look really cool and i have googled it but with not to much success

u can use a glass drill bit, or if your really really careful u can use a regular one, if your using a regular one, first mark where you want the hole, then take the drill bit and carefully hit it against the glass till it makes a small indentation, enough to keep the bit in place, then very carefully drill until you get a small hole, this is where most problems occur, if your using a small drill bit it wont be much of a problem, but it u want the hole bigger than the first small hole you need to, very carefully, turn the bit with your hands and chip very small peices off a a time. As for sealing it, you can get silicone based epoxy or any other glue that won't react to heat. Or a rubber stopper with a hole in it that u can glue in place.
hope this helps:thumbsup:

I used a glass drill bit, and I drilled underwater at a low rpm. Water absorbs some shock, +glass fragments won't fly at you.
It worked fine.

glass bits arent that expensive, for a slider find a thin metal tube, and something to use as a bowl, like a socket or something, that fits into the metal tube and glue on a handle

Or you can go to a smoke shop and buy a stem+bowl.

that too, although im assuming that you want to make the whole thing, if not thats your best choice.
Actually the reason water works so well is because water silences the frequency that broken glass makes (the frequency breaks more glass)

Drilling under water works well but once you start drilling don't add water. It will break, and you will feel like a dumbass when you think about what you did. :(
Drilling underwater is mostly to absorb the friction heat from the drill bit (either submerge the bottle or run a flow of water over the drilling area) but has some other benefits as well like not putting glass shards in your lungs. While a regular bit might work, even one designed to cut glass can very easily crack a glass bottle, even when submerged. You have to make a small hole and slowly drill out from there to expand it. Last time I bought a bit for glass it cost $3-5.
