i dunno how anyone can be good in history.... my god... a bunch of names i'v enever heard and a bunch of dates and having to remember them all... i just suuuuuuuucked at it... i'm a genius with numbers, just not dates lol... well used to be a genius... i'm far outta practice now...
i could study hours upon hours for tests in history and still fail... but with math, well in jr. high i missed about half a year every year and still managed to keep A+ in math.

Trig scorched my sack, so I'd say math. Science was a dream.

Recess!
But seriously, I sucked at math, but was always off the scale in reading and English. By the time I was in 4th grade, I read at a college graduate level. They literally ran out of reading tests to give me. I had already aced them all.

Anything that required lots of writing I did great in as long as I actually bothered to do assignments. I scored 800 on my English with writing SATs... 790 on the regular verbal.
French I liked because my French teacher was an unqualified hottie. But my grammar is terrible so my grades suffered.
Math bored me to tears.
Chemistry, Botany, and Biology I had a TON of fun in- often more than the teachers would have liked- but they put up with my antics for some reason and I usually got good grades by pulling extra credit projects at the last minute.

Fuck school, but anyways I used to love math pre-highschool and that's about it, never liked history or anything else for that matter back then. Nowadays I learn more everyday on my own than I probably learnt in an entire year failing high school. I was always stuck in Algebra classes all through high school somehow but I'm thinking about teaching my way up to Calculus soon.
Teaching myself is the one of the greatest gifts I have found in life, I still try to understand daily how school could have made me hate information so much, I am addicted to cramming my head with as much knowledge as possible nowadays. If I go through a day and haven't learnt something almost life changing I feel like I have been slacking.
english was best, then math was worst. i liked history the best but wasnt really fond of studying so i only ever did ok. im very good at college history though when the tests are essay and you actually have to apply what youve learned. otherwise you arent good at history, you are good at memorizing facts

English, biology, art and history were the best.
Advanced math (trig, particularly) and physical science were the worst. Algebra and geometry were easy enough. But past that I really had to work at math, and it always scared me. Still does.

Math/Science Best Subjects
English Worst Subject
History, Government, Economics, and other subjects were in the middle.
All through High School I got A's and B's and I took all the AP courses I could take, well that I wanted to take anyway.
AP Calculus
AP Chemistry
AP US History
AP European History
AP Economics
AP American Government
AP Biology
And through my last 2 years of High School, I smoked weed nearly every day and still got fantastic grades.
All my friends said I was the one exception to smokin' herb and still being successful in High School.

strongest: english, social science (civics, government, polysci, sociology)
weakest: math... knowing that i will never use anything other than the most basic of algebraic functions ever again in my life doesn't help, either.
i'm in the middle on science, history, french. good at biology and physics, bad at chemistry.
oddly enough, i'm putting off an english paper right now by browsing these boards. :p

Highschool down? Nuts to that! I go to college and I override your rules with my Wizardly authority good sir.
Strongest: English and History. And English is excessively easy for me, I just whip up an assignment in one sitting and get an A every time.
Weakest: Math. I'm not mathematically retarded (any more), but it's an excercise in frustration to be sure.

Strongest subject would have been computers or english(I love writing stories or any creative writing).
Weakest would be science...I could never focus in that subject.

You know PTB, I consistantly failed at science too even though I'm more than capable of understanding the material by independant study. Would you say you have the same issue as me, that it's learning in a science classroom environment that makes it difficult for you?

Well yes I was able to do the work...But I think it was because my teacher would talk for ages then make us copy out notes..then maybe do a bit of lab work. One good thing I can say about science is that I almost blew up the science lab :hippy:.
