I couldn't get the video to load, but typically if you are doing a simple home extraction, the preferred solvent will be either ethanol in the form of the highest-proof booze you've got access to, or isopropanol, in the form of plain unscented rubbing alcohol.
Isopropanol is quite toxic, so you are limited to a hash method where the last step is evaporating off the solvent.
Ethanol is toxic, as anyone who has ever woken up with a hangover will attest, but ingestable in small amounts, and you can use it more creatively to extract THC. Look up the term 'Green Dragon' for instructions on that.
