I've been told this is the best option for beginners when growing inside.
Does anyone else have any other opinions, i.e. which is best to grow inside? With semi-low oder. *Basement* artificial lighting.

Both Northern Lights and Big Bud are good indoor plants. My Big Buds are beginning to get pretty stinky though.

I haven't grown big bud, but northern lights is pretty forgiving. Also, if you have enough space, cindy 99 is a good strain. Shes a bit sativa though so she stretches when flowering quite a bit. Just about overgrew my cab when i grew c99...

Was thinking of NL-c99 hybrid. Looks like it turns out pretty nice. :P

Northern lights, skunk #1 and top 44 are all great strains to start off growing. Top 44 and NL being very stealthy, very stoney with great yields.
I have grown c99xnl and I would not say that it is the best plant to start out growing for the first time. My first indoor grow was NL and I grew them using LST and I ave. around 7 oz's dried from each.

1000 watt mh for veg, 1000 watt hps for flower on a mover. The key is growing them using LST and vegging them for 7 weeks. The skunk1's I grew ave. around 8 oz's dried per plant. I then started going to a 6 week veg which allowed me to add 2 more plants in my 7x4 room, and my averages went down to around 5 oz's per plant. My ave. yield per cycle is anywhere from 30-38 oz's.
This is a pic of a MTF cross
