I know that this claim doesn't sound all that ludicrous. Thats good conspiroucy right.

But have you ever noticed when any working sector is in high demand of skill sets like medicine, engineering, police, hairdressing, teaching, almost anything, there is a tv sereal released that shows just how good a job it is and how much sex you can have with your co-workers.

It doesn't stop at the subliminal coercion, there is both present and past enlisting issues in the States that don't need to be addressed here, I'm sure Micheal Moore has enlightened everyone about that.

What about when you want to study for a particular course, well you can't because you didn't work hard enough in school. Is that your fault too. Well, maybe not. Even if you are not from a disadvantaged background, you are not going to do very well in school. If this seems like an over negative statement, then view it in contrast to those elite of the country who score big in school and college, M.A., PHD., and congratulations to them, their parents, and the parenting style that they adopted, and the jobs they have, and the area they are from, well maybe we could all be doing that well in life if we were raised right and our parents were nuclear physicists or neurosurgeons, but how would that be possible with a government that wants to keep you poor so that all working sectors can be met. That the country won't have a brain drain of its human resources, or a slave drain either.

So next time you would like to buy an ounce of the finest but can only afford a smaller deal with complimentary twigs and unknow narcotic additives, you know why. :wtf:

What you are describing is hegemony at work along with class stratification, not any sort of a communists/plot/society.There are a number of theorists (DumoffWho owns what,Frankfurt school theorist,Gramsci, etc.),books, academic papers, and the like that fully detail how society is stratified and why and who it benefits and hegemony convinces us that it is the natural order of things (like capitalism is the next logical/natural step in human societal development).Hope this helps, take care brother

I wouldnt call stratification or hegemony "conspiracy theory",its based on empirical evidence.Ill paste a couple of my fav.quotes by different theorists (social,radical,education,etc.).If you want you can look up the authors. The Frankfurt school is something you might familar with if you are a phil.guy (Habermas,Ardorno,Horkheimer,etc.).

According to Bourdieu, it is:

?necessary to bury the myth of the ??school as liberating force,? guarantor of the triumph of ??achievement? over ??ascription,? of what is conquered over what is received, of works over birth, of merit and talent over heredity and nepotism, in order to perceive the educational institution in the true light of its social uses, that is, as one of the foundations of domination and of the legitimation of domination (Bourdieu, 1989, p.5)

"The critical question here is whose future, story, and interests does the school represent. .? Henry Giroux (2005)

?hegemonic culture depends not on the brainwashing of the masses but on the tendency of public discourse to make some forms of experience readily available to consciousness while ignoring or suppressing others. T.J.Jackson Lears
