I got a really dank sack today.. 70 an eight and it came with 7 seeds. I've never tried to grow and I was just woundering if I could just plant them in a pot with some soil and water it everday... Would that work?

Thanks!

If you put it outside and eventually give it some fertilizer, sure it might work. Theres a lot of factors to think of though. Will it be found for instance. Read up as much as you can before trying. Its not a good time to try growing outdoors now though, unless you're in the southern hemisphere because of the winter coming up.

should work. wrap the seeds in a damp paper towel til they sprout, then plant the seedlings. from there, it's pretty low maintenance.

Hon, where do you live? In 1/2 of the world it is going on winter. So unless you live in Australia, South America, Africa or other land mass near there, your babies will just be sprouted when they go into bud production- which means you get a couple of joints worth- maybe. Or they may just die outdoors - we've already had snow here. Cannabis is a warm weather plant!

Get some of those curly CFLs and an empty closet. Or wait til spring and plant some seedlings outside. Either way, start reading! - Granny:hippy:

I'm in Oklamhoma. Couldnt I just plant them in a pot and keep it in my house?

They need LOTS of light. I would grow them if I were you, but do some research first. There is a wealth of information here.

Curly CFLs will work just fine! Get the biggest ones you can find. Even the tube type fluoros will work! Just keep them close to the plants- like 1-2 inches. My first grow was under the tube type fluoros. I had just 6 tubes (by the end of the grow), but that was enough to give me enough to keep me happy- and I'm a medical user. Each pair of tubes and the fixtures ran a total of about $12. You can start with one pair and add on as your plants grow. That's what I did.

The CFLs run about $8 per bulb at Walmart. The are a bit hotter than the tubes, but no where near as hot as HPS etc. You can bump a CFL and not get burned badly. They need to be 3-4 inches from your plants. And again, you can spread the purchases out over time. Just keep adding to it, one or two bulbs at a time. They fit into normal light sockets- nothing special needed! Hit a thrift store or yard sale and look for multi socket fixtures. I picked up a 3 socket and a 4 socket bathroom light fixtures for about $3 each. You often find the tube type fixtures at yard sales, too.

This doesn't need to be a huge financial investment! It can be done for very little outlay! Just use your head! The big lights are nice- bigger yields, etc, but if you are just growing for yourself, they are not necessary! Get a light, add a couple of bags of good potting soil and some pots that are 3 to 5 gallons, some soft drink cups- and you're in business! - Go for it! - Granny:hippy:
