im 14. im not alloud to buy lighters. you have to be 18. does anyone know how to get lighters from a store without stealing. the only thing ill steal from a store is food. plus if i get cought stealing a lighter that would seem like i am up to no good. does onyone know anything i can tell a clark to get him or her to sell me a lighter. like an excuse.

i thought that maby if i try to buy lighters at the same time i try to buy candles thell sell it to me because it will seem like im using the lighters to light candles.

Do your parent's smoke cigs? Just take there lighter lol. I do that all the time when im in desperate need, I have atleast 5 lighter's and a zippo. Although if I wanted to I'd buy one I could but last time I checked a bic is about $1.69.

your going to get banned because of your age but ill try to help, ask a friend thast 18+ to buy you a pack of like 5 or something, look around your house your bound to have a lighter of some kind (mabe matches?) or just ask a friend that has access to lighters to buy one off them or even have it. haha back when i was 14 i just asked my mom for some lighters to melt wax for when im skateboarding she bought the lighters for me and knew what i was really going to use them for :jointsmile:

You'll never get caught stealing lighters. Normally they have them in some random part of the store where you can take them. I remember when I was your age, me and some friends would steal like 10 lights at a time whenever we needed one.

And seriously, you'll never get carded. No one knows that you even need to be carded. Once I saw some kids being refused sale at a 711 but that's because there are always cops around there. Just go to Cosco or something.

oh. true. i could just go to spencers in the mall and ask someone in there to buy me a lighter. half the people that go in there smoke. and i guess hero is right, i am one of few kids in my grade that smoke. but most of my friends are older than me. and my older sister and cousins all smoke weed so i just grew up around it.

I know a lot about mari and development. Before the age of 18 smoking often weed will slow down or totally stop the development of the brain. That don't mean that you can't smoke but you need to be intelligent about your use of it.

It amazes me how many people still advertise that they are under 18.

I have never really had any problems buying lighters in England when I was under 18 or 16 (legal smoking age here). You could try buying one of those long lighters used for lighting the stove. Maybe they would be more inclined to sell you one fo those.

Umm, no you dont. I've been buying lighters in the kroger down the street from my house since i was 12 (When i started smoking) they dont say shit and they never said shit to my parnets or nothing. Its not illegal buddy, atleast not in virginia.

a few questions for ya:

1. the magic number of 18 you cited seems too coincidental, as it is also the age to smoke cigs, you get adult status, can buy glass from head shops, and can post on these boards.

2. people do not all develop at the same rate, correct? and guys do not stop growing until 21

3. can weed really stop brain development? that is scary. if it is even somewhat true, then no one should smoke, as we are constantly using our brains and learning new and complex things at any age.

4. if it does slow/stop development, should those in college not smoke?

You don't have to be 18, it's company policy. And sometimes it's just douchebag checkout guys. Go in during the day, it's less shady. They'll sell you anything. Or if you're cool with the people at your local headshop, they'll sell you anything too. My friend is 16 and buys cigs and cigars from our headshop all the time.

when you're 14 you should be enjoying other things that you wont be able to enjoy when you are 18 hah. If getting a lighter is that big of an issue you probably shouldnt be smoking yet anyway. I mean not trying to get all parental, but for real ... you should be able to make a mature well thought out decision about what you want to put in your lungs.

Second, why do you have to STEAL? Like seriously. People are out there trying to send out this peaceful image of cannabis smokers who don't harm anybody and just expand their minds and what not. Why would you go out and steal from people who are just trying to live. Stealing...is what 14 year-old kids do.. hah

1 - That not a magic number a lot of professional of health tell that the most important part of the development of this is actually happening between 13 and 16, from past 16 to 25 there still a development, but there was no correlation between cannabis use/abuse that prevent people for getting to the potential as the non users. Just a not there is a few studies that prove slow/stop brain development on heavy marijuana user from the age of 13 to 18... I'll look over the web to see if I can find you some references.

2- We all develop at different speed and rates that is right. We still the "boost" of hormones and growing between 13 and 16. As for growing (how tall you are) this stop to the age of 21. As I said on #1m, you still do some brain development until the age of 25.

3- As nft said, learning and development is two different things. As for learning I guess you experience yourself some short term memory problems/lost. THC disrupts the way nerves fire in the brainâ??s memory centre.

4- These problem will actually occur with heavy use and not to light smokers... So as I say kept it low and you'll be high safe....

Ask an older person, or friend, who smokes. You could steal one, but there are other alternatives that you should consider. If you find someone willing, buy in bulk, for now.

I ran into the same problem when I first started to smoke. Just go up to the counter with someone and put yourself at a weird angle, then steal a lighter right in front of their face.

But for real, i'm for sure if you just ask someone walking in to get you a bic, they'll do it. Target teenagers, or other young looking people.
