Getting lights on a 60-120$ budget.

I need to know if anyone has ever bought a light system for indoor soil or hydro growing for 60-120 USD. If so, where did you get if from? A local hydro shop, or a website? If it was a website, can you give me a link?

Inside Sun has a 400w hps system for $100, though if your just starting out and on a budget you might want to think about just getting some CFL's from walmart or something as you can get good results from those. This should probably be moved to cultivation\lighting section

i got a 400 watt mh off ebay for 45 bucks. it included a bulb too. cooltube was 30 and i made a fan from an old blower. the light works pretty good too.

my whole setup has cost me around $300 as of now.

My lights:

All from Wal-Mart except the 2 15" CFLs from the local hardware store.

I bought 12 compact spiral floros 23 watts each 100watt equiv $7 - $8 for 4 3 packs of these

4 24" Tube CFLs 17 watts each 75 watt equiv

all for around $60

the pic doesn't include the 2 15" tubes.

The cheap Inside Sun 400HPS is a pretty decent bargain. It's reconditioned; if you want a new one, go for the house brand 400.
If you are going to blow your budget on just a light or 2, get a small HPS (250 or 400) and two shop light fixtures, 2 bulbs each, which cost $8 at home dePOT and can be used for seedlings and vegginf very easily.
