what kind of light is that? looks like some halogen bulb or something, which wouldn't be good. The seedling still has a decent color, but the new leaves should be bigger for how tall it is. How old is it?

It would do better if you put some compact fluorescents over it. Why only one? It could end up being male.

ps sometimes it'll take up to a day to get responses;)

You will not be able to grow a good sized plant with that light.

I've seen worse. But, yeah, you're going to have probs with that light. It's too hot and wrong colour light. That light will make it grow tall and very skinny instead of short and bushy. A few compact fluorescents would be a lot better.

Don't over water it or let the stale water sit too long in the bottom of that bowl you're using.

Cheers! And hope it's a female!

here is a pic of the type of bulb you want. for my vegging plants, I use mostly cool white with one or two of the soft white (soft has an orangeish tint). The more bulbs the better. cfls' are awesome for young plants; they keep them short and bushy because it's a full light spectrum with less heat output.

you can get them at practically any grocery or drug store, but they will be cheaper and there will be a bigger selection with higher wattage if you go to a lowe's or home depot

these points are a fraction of what you need to know to grow decent flowers. Study up on 4 broad areas: lighting, water, soil, and air. THey are the 4 elements of growing.

that's an incandescent light, if you get it close enough to give the plant the light it needs, it will fry it with heat.
Go for a bunch of CFLs or som eflouro shop lights.
Read the link in my sig too for other pointers.
