I was in my yard doing some work when I noticed what looked to be a marijuana plant growing next to a bush. I plucked a leaf and burned it and that familiar aroma hit my nostrils. But, I have smelled regular vegetation burning that smelled like marijuana before so I wasn't too sure. After looking at several pics online, I still don't know so, I figured I'd scan a picture of one of the leafs (I couldn't take a pic of the plant cause my camera is on the fritz) and see what the experts thought. If it is, it couldn't have come at a better time because I am a recent card carrier and I was just considering growing my own.

Note: The leaf is wrinkled from being in the scanner

Sorry for the double post, I'd edit it out but I'm not seeing an edit option.

Im not an expert but IMO, No that is not Marijuana.

Basically because as far as i know the leaves on a marijuana plant do not connect to each other but each actually connects individually to them stem.
Like i said im not an expert... just my two cents

That's a very good point WEsmokeED. I never considered that, and thinking about it, I've never seen an mj leaf where leafs were not all connected individually to the stem. Thanks.

Nope. Can't tell you exactly what it is; seen it before and it's not pot. Sorry to burst your bubble, man.

Might be a Japenese maple leaf (http://homepage2.nifty.com/chigyoraku/E-repo7.html)?

I saw a post one time where Stinky Attic said she had one of these trees....idk.

you can only edit for 10 minutes, after that you lose the ability to edit....

and it's just wishful thinking.... i find that any stoner who comes across a 5 leaf plant that faintly resembles marijuana gets their mouth watering thinking they just stumbled across a real plant...

lol... our DPS has two bushy short trees outside it's doors that almost perfectly resemble weed... next time i go up there i'll get a leaf and scan it and show yal....

but yeah.... you'll know fi it's weed, you won't even have to ask... you'll just know... atleast usually... chances ar eif you have to ask, the answer is no

Palmate vs. compound.
That's not weed.... oh well.
