i have a 5 sq ft. space that is 71 inches tall. I'm currently running a 150 hps light. I already know i need more light. i was planning to get a 250 watt hps. but then i got a bright idea why not just get another 150 watt hps light? it would be cheaper, bulbs are cheaper and it would be 300 total watts. but with the two 150 watt light combo i would be putting out 3200 lumen and the 250 with the bulb it comes with puts out 3300 lumen. and i only plan to grow 2 plants at a time

my first question is this.

which of the two set ups would you recommend given the space?

also i read somewhere in here about light intensity but i cant find it now

so my next question is this.

would the light intensity of one 250 watt hps be greater then the light intensity of two 150 hps?

click on the details for each lamp you are considering ... look for the 'lumens' output, that's what you are wanting ... notice the 'initial lumens' is higher, the lamp quickly drops its output after a short time ... :smokin:

based on the link you showed me with those bulb to chose from i would go with the dual 150's sound right?
