Will the filter of the cigarette stop me from getting high in any way? I kinda think it would be cool to smoke a joint like i would a cig (not all triangular haha) but if its going to take away from my high i'll just reroll it normally :P

pull the filter out... me and my bro used to do this all the time, and he always insisted on leaving the filter in (in those days he wasn't too keen on smoking anything.. he despised cigarettes... he only liked weed cuz 'it did something for him') i would NEVER get high when the filter was in....

DEFINITELY remove the filter and throw in some cardboard (like you would for a normal joint). The good stuff will stick to the filter more than anything else.

i used to poke a hole through the filter with a thick needle, right htrough the center of the tube. that way i could smoke it anywhere in public and be fine.

You are where I was 8 or so months ago, lol.

I used to empty out cigarettes and fill them in with weed and I would cut off more than half the filter with scissors...I figured the filter did filter a lot of the stuff so I left a little bit as a mouth piece (back then I didn't think about sliding out the spongy material and refilling it with a rolled cardboard...no good.

When you make good joints, the mouth piece is supposed to be perfectly round, not triangular..the same goes with the shape of the joint itself...it's suposed to be as close to perfectly round as possible...if your joints are triangular the chances are you didn't roll them tight enough, you didn't break the bud enough, or a combination of both.

When I started my joints had so many air gaps in them, they were weirdly shaped and really loose (you could hear the paper crunch when you took a hit because of the sucking that's going on was making the papers 'dip' into itself).

if anything, use cigarette papers (they come with a lot of brands of rolling tobacco and you can also buy them loose in a lot of placers like wal-mart and such..they are white and have the little lines that normal cigarettes have...I don't like them as much but then again, I'm not worried about being caught in public since I'm not that worried or paranoid. I'm not careless, but I just act as if i were smoking a cigarette and kinda discretely put the joint out of general lines of vision.

Yes the filter is bad. I used to do that before I learned how to roll. So unless you can't roll a j there is zero point to filling a cigarette with weed. And saying you can walk around with it in public is just stupid. People can smell you arenâ??t smoking a Newport.

At my local headshop you can buy regular rolling papers that look like ciggie papers... i.e. they have the same polka dot orange bottom. If you use a rolling machine and those papers you can roll your own perfect cannabis cigarettes, and you won't be wasting actual tobacco.

But I don't really see the point... people are still gonna know what you're up to cuz of the smell and you know, the :stoned:.

most of yall are wrong, the filter doesnt capture a signifigant amount of thc, like .1 percent or something, it does however capture more harmful things like tar, leaving the filter in is good:thumbsup:

ahh the old secret agent. I personally have never made one, but have smoked on one. This one also had the filter removed and a cardboard roach in its place.

When I smoke out of a cig(several times now) I usually empty out a Newport 100 and use that. That way, when its packed enough I can rip off the filter completely and end up with a decent sized joint.

You can't get them fat like your usual awesome joint, but you can pack them tight.

Be aware that ripping the filter off can cause you to inhale herb when you smoke.

One way to prevent that is to roll your own cardboard filter and shove it down in before you start loading.

Then buy yourself a roller for $5 and use that. All you do is fill it with herb and a filter at one end, close it, roll the machine once, put a paper in, roll again and that's it.

It's cooler to roll your own but if you're resorting to smoking an emptied out ciggie then you might as well.

It's not that we can't roll [I can].

But it's the fact that we have troubles scoring papers or are too lazy. I use all types of things. Sometimes cigarettes are just easier(and great for discretion).
