Hey all. I'm in the tropics and need some suggestions for strains that can handle rainy periods during flowering.
I'll start off by mentioning Mango is an awsome strain for yield, flavour, potency and mold/rain resistance.
Others hollands hope, early skunk.
What else handles the rain during flower?

general rule-of-thumb, sativas and sativa-dominants work best in the wet climates ... the buds are sparser, not as dense, and the air is able to get through them easier ... also, sativa landraces generally come more from the damper 'jungle' type countries and islands, rather than dry arid regions of the Middle East ... :smokin:

The strain Island Sweet Skunk, sold by Federation as Sweet Island Skunk, is known to handle rain well- it's a true IBL from Vancouver and dries off quickly after rainfall because of the way the buds are structured.
I'm not sure how it likes heat though.
Look for strains that do NOT set extremely large or dense buds, and always plant in an area that gets both early morning sunlight and a nice breeze.
