I'm buying my first grinder tomorrow and this is probably gonna sound like a bad question cuz im a noob but do I break it up first or do I just throw the nug in there? Thanks

you gotta break it up a bit, or else the nug wont even fit into the teeth. Also, from my experiences with my own, if the broken down bits are too big, its kinda hard to get the grinder to twist.

yeah. i would break up a nug into about 3-5 pieces depending on the size of the nug. also, DONT buy a wood grinder, they always get shit on the inside where it spins and they lock up. go for metal, with a keif screen.

Is there anywhere ot buy a grinder besides a head shop? I want something cheap and the ones I saw at the head shop were like 15-20 dollars. I was thinking a health store might have one.

I usually find/break a piece just big enough to fit inside the grinder (it's a 1.5"). If you have teeth that are pointed at the ends you can just press it together and it's only hard to twist at first, breaks up fast...
You can probably find a good grinder fairly cheaply online at a major smoking shop site...
