For an insurance medical exam i had to give blood and urine.

i had a substitute for the urine but i gave the blood (hard not to)

will they be checking the DNA in the blood and urine to confirm that it came from the same person??

I would doubt it but I don't know. It seems like an awful lot of money on testing. And as we know insurance companies are cheap.

Depends on how much your claim is for !

it wasn't a claim, it was a medical exam for health insurance, blood and urine test, weight, height and blood pressure.

des anyone know someone in an insurance agency??

I am 99% sure they did not run genetic testing on you urine sample to compare it to your blood. I doubt they did any genetic testing on your blood either. Did they (ins. co.) give you any forms to sign or consent forms?

yeah i had to sign a couple of things, the nurse didn't say anything about a consent form though

I would never give a medical insurance company a blood or urine sample. Are you in the US?
I believe this is illegal in the US.

nope canadian. i'm pretty sure there checking health issues, drug abuse and niccotine use..cause if your a smoker you have to pay more or something. my parents are the ones who are paying for the insurance so i couldn't really say no to the tests.

would they, in anyway, compare it to the blood sample to confirm it came from the same person? cause a nurse came to my home to do the tests, and i was given alot of privacy with the urine test.
