I was gonna trash these plants but before i do that i'll just see if anyone can tell me what they think this problem is.

The plants were with my buddy before i brought them home today. He told me they were standing straight up last night and this morning after he did a water change this happened to them. I hadnt checked on the plants in 2 weeks and im incredibly disappointed to see hydroponic plants this small at almost a month old.

I decided to take them home and keep them myself. I didnt check the ph before i dumped all the water out today but i just changed the water and im using a pool/spa ph tester. Anyway i kinda think this is a ph problem but before these go to the trash have a look and tell me if you guys think they can still make it.

You might be able so save them but I doubt it would be worth it. I'd vote no. :(

u could save them but they would never grow the same. +1 vote for no, not worth your time and effort.

trying to get them to live would develop your skills and knowledge in great amounts.
Use them as an experiment. How much do you REALLY know. Try different things with each one..

+1 for let them live

Well i was about to take a pic of the only survivor but my lights just went off for the night. I'll take a pic in the morning to see what everyone thinks!

Well here's the pic, im not sure if you would call this any real progress but ummm i guess its doing a little better. I think i'll take it out of that cup and give it a bigger pot, just to see what it will do but uhhhh any suggestions on what i should do to help it take off?!

I'm not sure what that soil is but i hope you have good drainage. Make certain the soil runoff pH is correct and only feed with pH adjusted water until you see 4 sets of healthy leaves.

Stinky I just have one question for you, are you God?!

I checked the soil runoff and it was around 7.2, after watering with some water ph'd at 6.5 he started to perk up. The pic is what he/she looks like 3 days later! I'm almost pretty sure this on will be a male from all the stress its been through but I guess that i've come to the realization that ph is just about everything to plants. Nothing will go right if ph isnt near perfect. So what do you guys/gals think, do you see some hope in this plant?!

I sure hope not- I'm kinda planning on the "deathbed redemption" thing, and I surely don't need my deity drinking beer and blowing smoke in my face.

Ain't nothin' over till it's over- and that plant's not over. Coming back nicely.

Stress effects expression of sex but not pre-disposition of sex- see how it goes. You've got a while before ya flip.

Plenty of hope in that plant, keep it lightly watered in pH range and it will be fine.
I'm not God; as rhizome pointed out, I'm not exactly the one you'd want to have to answer to... my sense of justice is shall we say a bit more humorous than that of most organized religions... :D

Edit: rhizome- be happy about that too; I've got a cold now... I find lighters in your possession with 'don't take this lighter you thieving scoundrels' written on them... orange ones... FAMILIAR handwriting too... you'd have a lot of explaining to do mister!!!

Can anyone tell me what those lime spots are that are developing on the leaves. I have never seen that before. The ph is good so i dont know what it could be.

No, but this chart I posted perhaps can.

Obvious trilythium deficiency.

Obvious trilythium deficiency.

I'm not exactly sure what that is but ummm i think the problem has been fixed with a watering with some fish emulsion. I'd never given this plant any nutes, i was only watering with ph'd water. Those spots were getting bad until i gave it some nutes, now its doing pretty good. As you can see in the pics the blotches on the leaves were getting bad at one point but it has stopped and all new growth is bright pretty green. I really cant wait to see how this plant turns out. I'll never really give up on any plants now unless they are indeed dead. This one looked nearly dead but he/she has fully recovered and is starting to look wonderful. Thanks to everyone that voted to save this one!

GIVE EM NUTES!!!!! nutes make the plants grow almost 2X as fast.

id say the 3 are screwed. they can recover if treated right, but they may not be the same after such stress. theyll just take up a hydro cup....

Well after a close examination of the skunk#1 that went through hell and back he seems to be a male! I thought i saw some male preflowers and im pretty sure they were so i put him under the 1000 watter. I should definitely see if he is a male for sure in the next couple of days. It was a nice learning experience and i'll now think twice before trashing a plant.
