I have a whitefly infestation- have been spraying for these pest 2 weeks now- I am using Safer and see a reduction of pest the day of spray but they quickly return in force- I am 2 to 3 weeks from harvest and plants are sickly - I will obviously have whiteflies at time of harvest- how will this affect plants during drying curing time- will the adults -eggs and nymphs continue to live and feed upon plants after they are cut and put into dark drying area and if they survive this time will they live in the jars at curing time? any suggestions on how to eradicate before harvest- all suggestions and opinions appreciated!!!!

You expecting a frost Wednesday morning?...maybe that will help?

Strange, I've never seen whiteflies around here. How big are they?

Strange, I've never seen whiteflies around here. How big are they? Have not heard of a frost coming I will keep my fingers crossed -the flies are small , the size of a grass gnat- small but in quantities- hundreds upon hundreds- I even sprayed surrounding foliage- honeysuckle is full of pest- made me realize I will not be able to eradicate the infestation because it is everywhere- spoke with a local plant nursery and they said major infestation everywhere they can find any moisture- been a hard year for me pest of all kinds
