hey everyone, i need some pointers on boiling glass parts to clean. i have a pretty thick bowl/stem that i just boiled. this got it alot cleaner than just trying to clean it by hand. (i dont have any rubbing alcohal)

ive broken plenty of glass steak plates. so my question is will it break? is 420 glass high quality pirex? ive heard something about adding salt to the mix. stoned in the kitchen:D

don't bother boiling it; it reeks up the house to a raunchy degree and is not entirely effective. If you don't have access to a headshop to acquire formula 420 or orange chronic or other cleaners, just take some rubbing alcohol and uncooked rice (for friction). Put equal parts of both into the utensil and swirl it around, get the motion of the rice to cover all of the inside of the pipe. Usually just a couple minutes, depending on how dirty the piece is

edit: oops, didn't realize you said you didn't have rubbing alcohol till now. Um..get some.

I wouldnt risk it personally, if the glass has any bubbles in that could cause it to break. Just go and buy some isopropyl alcohol, its relatively easy to get hold of, inexpensive and cleans glass a treat.

Also as burnable pointed out boiling resin smells nasty as hell.

i boil my glass piece and it has not problems. Cleans it pretty well. as for the smell just leave your kitchen window open or if you have one of those overhead fan things over the stove use that and it only smells for like 5-10 mins.
