I really believe that no two people have the same view of God. Every person on earth has a different picture and idea in their head. So how can a religious group claim that they are all solid in their beliefs... that just makes them completely narrow minded and selfish. Maybe its not even a 'God' for some people... maybe its just a sense of comfort in their own thoughts and beliefs, whether its spiritual or 'religious' or not believing at all. You have to be completely 100% comfortable in your own beliefs and feelings, which is really hard to do, and really hard to find... but everybody will find it one day, even if its in another life and on another spiritual plane.

Just felt like sharing this fine morning, hope it made sense.. *looks around* haha... peace!

Our laws put forth the notion that we regret God, and what He made.

Let's outlaw our neighbors. They shouldn't live so close, anyway.

a great thought Grace, but there are alot of people that do think the same about what god is. Not saying you are wrong, because when it comes to this, there is no wrong answer.

What's with the new feature of being more difficult to quick reply? Anyway, Grace, I understand completely what you mean... my God is nowhere close to the one I learned about in Sunday School. BTW I think you're very cute. Too bad you live in the Great White North. Wanna try a warmer climate? ;)

this is so true, ones idea of god is ones own perception of god within ones self.

to communicate this god we have to use language, but language opens up to the variables of perception and emotional weight.

so the person we are trying to communicate the idea's too, only ever stands on the brink of grasping how we truly understand or percieve the idea of god as it is something which truly resides withing the 'i' of a person.

so religon in the mass effect (que gamer pun) can be viewed in many lights.

firstly, the easiest. answers for the small minded.
secondly, control of society and individuals.
thirdly, a moral framework
fourthy, an identification of acknowledging god.
fithly, a networking tool for people that understand god.

so really it is what you make it.

God is subjective.

So is the colour of the sky.

Realizing this was important to me, but maybe not for others. Subjective is subjective.

i dont personally belive in a ''god'' i belive there was a ''creator''..... who... created the earth and provided us with what we would need. then let nature take its cource[evolving from what ever we evovled from.] and became what we are today.

i do belive there is some one watching over me[had alot of experninces where, i should be dead, or atleast in a wheelchair.] i dont belive its a ''god'' i actually, belive its my late grandpa, who has saved me a few to many times. i didnt relize it at first, but after a few times of my life being in danger, and walking away un-scratched, i relized that there HAS to be some one watching over me, and after some long thoughts, i came with the conclusion, that my grandpa was the only person that we shared a strong relationship with, and that it could be him, and only him watching me. now when i get my self into a sticky situation, i ask him for some help threw prayer. and he is always helping me out. and it feels so nice to be able to know that, even after he is gone, hes still right beside me, threw all problems. some times i forget it in small situations. but when life is the worst, i rember...

Just a question... why dont you believe there is such thing like a God and yet you think a deceased person (your grandpa) protects you?
IMHO it would be far easier for a God than for a person (alive or dead) to protect anyone...
